To cater to the passenger rush ahead of the year-end festivities, the Indian Railways has rolled out several special trains connecting multiple cities across India.

The decision was taken keeping in mind the spike in rail travel ahead of Christmas and New Year. The special trains will link many destinations like Jaipur, Bikaner, Shirdi and Hyderabad.

Here are the details:
1) The South Central Railway has announced special trains from Hyderabad to Kakinada and Jaipur.

Four special trains will run between Hyderabad and Jaipur:
> Train no. 09737 Jaipur – Hyderabad will run on 26th December and 2nd January.
> Train no. 09738 Hyderabad – Jaipur will run on 28th December and 4th January.
Eight special trains will run between Lingampalli and Kakinada Town:
> Train no. 07275 Kakinada Town – Lingampalli will commence its journey on 22nd, 25th, 27th and 29th December.
> Train no. 07276 Lingampalli – Kakinada Town will commence its journey on 23rd, 26th, 28th and 30th December.
2) The South Central Railway will run 12 weekly special trains between New Jalpaiguri and Trivandrum Central.

3) The Western Railway will run fully reserved festival special trains on special fare from Bandra (T) to Bhuj.
Here are the details:
For the convenience of passengers & with a view to meet travel demand during the ensuing festive season, WR to run fully reserved Festival Spl Trains on Spl Fare from Bandra (T) to Bhuj.

4) Keeping the demand of the passengers in view, the Northern Western Railway has announced special trains between Bikaner and Bandra Terminus.
> Train no. 04705 Bikaner – Bandra Terminus Special will operate on 26th December and 2nd January.
> Train no. 04706 Bandra Terminus – Bikaner Special will operate on 27th December and 3rd January.
5) The Northern Western Railway has also announced special trains between Jaipur and Bandra Terminus.
> Train no. 09723 Jaipur – Bandra Terminus Superfast Express will operate on 29th December and 5th January.
> Train no. 09724 Bandra Terminus – Jaipur Superfast Express will operate on 30th December and 6th January.

6) The North Western Railway will connect Shirdi and Goa with six special trains.
