Railways Install Disposable Linen Stalls At Various Stations

To reduce the risk of COVID-19 infection, Indian Railways is taking various steps. Recently, the national transporter has introduced disposable linen stalls at a number of stations.

These kiosks are selling bedsheets, sanitisers, blankets and more. At these stalls, one can find a complete package containing a set of all the safety essentials that are necessary for travel.


Now, travellers who forget to carry their linen can easily purchase the same from the stations.

Previously, the Indian Railways have installed automated ticket checking systems and access control machines, luggage sanitisation machines, contactless food dispensers to improve safety at the railway stations.

Central Zone of Indian Railways has also launched an AI (Artificial Intelligence) enabled robot  Captain Arjun (Always be Responsible and Just Use to be Nice) to improve the screening and surveillance of passengers as well as the staff.
