Indian Railways has taken many important steps in order to combat COVID-19.
According to the reports, “ Indian Railways has made over 2.8 lakh masks and 25,000 litres of sanitizer in the month of March.”
From lemon rice in the south to khichdi-chokha in the east and kadi chawal in the north, IRCTC provided not just 11,030 meals to the poor and needy but did so keeping in mind their local taste buds.
Indian Railways is running freight trains 24×7, through which the supply of these commodities is expected to be maintained.
The Railway staff is working round the clock at various goods sheds, railway stations to contribute in this fight against Coronavirus.
