Do I Need a Voltage Converter in Guinea?

Guinea runs on a main voltage of 220 volts at a frequency of 50 Hz. This is effectively the same as India's 230V/50Hz. You can plug any Indian device into a Guinea socket without a voltage converter, as long as the plug shape fits.

Will my Indian charger work in Guinea?

Yes, but it depends on which socket your hotel has. Guinea uses Type C, F and K sockets at 220V/50Hz. Your Indian phone and laptop chargers are dual-voltage (the label reads 100–240V), so they handle Guinea voltage without any issue. The only question is plug shape — your Indian plug fits Type C sockets directly, but will not fit Type F and K sockets without an adapter. You do not need a voltage converter — Guinea's 220V is the same as India's 230V.
