A total number of 532 flights take off on day 1; 39,000 flyers travelled!

With the resumption of domestic flight services after two months, Indian airlines successfully ferried more than 39,000 travellers on 532 flights on Monday. 


According to the sources, “Demand for non-metro routes is significantly higher than metro routes, with the Delhi-Patna route witnessing the highest number of bookings between May 25 and May 31.”

Hardeep Singh Puri, Civil Aviation Minister, said, “From no domestic passenger flights till Sunday to 532 flights & 39,231 passengers on Monday, action has returned to Indian skies. With Andhra Pradesh set to resume operations from today & West Bengal from May 28, these numbers are all set to increase further.”

Delhi-Bagdogra, Mumbai-Varanasi, Bengaluru-Patna, Delhi-Srinagar, etc., are the routes with the highest demand after the Delhi-Patna route.
