We had a wonderful family weekend at Aranyakam Heritage Homestay. Set in the heart of a 30-acre coffee plantation, this place is a true heritage gem-a beautifully restored old Kerala "tharavad" that combines traditional charm with comfort. The tranquil setting, surrounded by lush greenery and mountain views, makes it perfect for anyone seeking peace and a break from city life.The rooms are spacious and offer lovely views of the plantation and Chembra mountain. The hosts and staff are genuinely warm and go out of their way to make you feel at home-special thanks to Rajesh and Jaffar for their hospitality.The food is another highlight: delicious, authentic Kerala cuisine made with organic ingredients from the estate.If you’re looking for a serene, heritage homestay experience with great food and heartfelt hospitality, Aranyakam is the place. The most beautiful location, beautiful house, attentive staff, excellent organic food. Set in a coffee and cardamom plantation. Owner Rajesh and his assistant, Jaffar couldn’t have made us more welcome. The cook produced delicious, organic, traditional Keralan meals. Fabulous!

This is a fantastic and characterful place to stay. An historical property with a working plantation. We opted for a room in the main building but the huts overlooking the mountain look fabulous.A special mention to the staff, Jafar and Sunil, who were absolutely fantastic - courteous and kind. The owner, Rajesh, also called in to see us and was also very courteous, explaining the future plans for the accommodation.A special mention also for the food which was fantastic and plentiful.
