Beyond by Sula

This was my first visit here, prompted by online reviews. The access road could use better planning. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, with plenty of parking available. The view of the Godavari river is nice. There is a decent garden area and a swimming pool. The real question is whether it offers good value for money. The staff were polite, and the food was acceptable, though it lacked variety. Probably suitable for a one-time visit.

The location was excellent. The service was great, but the rooms had some problems.

1. Its very inside from the main sula vineyards. Dont trust the maps as the roads throughout were bad. Only if u have a suv, u should think about going.2. Wifi didnt worked and no one cared to sort it out3. Pool and food, both are lame in compare to standard 3/4 stars4. Not much gaming or other activities you can do.5. The river by the side is really so brown, you might just feel like a gutter6. Its meant more for families with kids, not couple per se.Overall a bad experience especially if u pay 10k+. Pls stop going there

We stayed in the Water Villa at Beyond by Sula and were quite let down, especially given the high cost. It's located far from Sula Vineyards, and the access road is awful with huge potholes that make for a very rough ride. The Water, Earth, and Air Villas are distant from the main Beyond by Sula area, which itself is far from Sula Vineyards, so every meal or visit to the main facilities involved either trudging through muddy paths or driving. The biggest disappointment was the food and service. Each meal took between 1.5 to 2 hours to be served, often arrived cold, and was still overly spicy and oily despite multiple requests. The staff frequently forgot to bring plates and cutlery, making us wait an additional 15 to 20 minutes before we could start eating. Maintenance was lacking. The AC in one bedroom kept switching off every 30 minutes during the night, causing my mother to lose sleep on the first night. They fixed it the next day. The living room lights flickered throughout our stay. Another major issue was what seemed to be a rat in the room; the complimentary fruits provided had been nibbled on by morning. Overall, these villas felt like a neglected section of Beyond by Sula. When booking, we were unsure whether to choose Beyond by Sula or Ama Stays. We picked Beyond by Sula expecting more activities and a livelier atmosphere, but unfortunately, we felt cut off from all services. At this price, there are luxury accommodations offering villas with housekeepers, private chefs, and much more attentive service.

We stayed in the Water Villa at Beyond by Sula, but sadly, the experience did not match the cost or the reputation of Sula. There appeared to be a rat or mice problem in the room; we found a half-eaten apple that seemed to have been bitten by rats and numerous droppings scattered around the room. One thing not clearly stated during booking is that the Water Villas are about 4.5–5 km from the main Sula property. If you expect a vineyard or winery experience, this is not it; it feels more like a typical resort using the Sula name. The biggest problem was the service. Since the villas are far from the main area, everything took too long. Food often arrived over an hour late, and several times we had to call back because the staff either hadn’t recorded our order or didn’t know what we ordered. Sometimes the food arrived without plates or cutlery. The management system clearly needs improvement. We also had an AC failure in one room on the first night. While such issues can happen, it was disappointing that no one from management contacted us to apologize or seemed aware of the problem. The rooms themselves are nice, but for this price, there are much better options like Ama Stays & Trails or SaffronStays, where service and overall experience are on a different level. Beyond by Sula has potential, but currently, it seems to rely on the Sula brand without providing the hospitality quality expected. It was not worth the price we paid.
