Chettinadu Mansion - An Authentic Heritage Palace

We stayed one night in the Chettinad Heritage Mansion. They took our dinner order before 5 PM which is fine but as soon we sat on the table everything without a break They bring drinks, roti, dal, rice, curry and 2 starters. The cold food we couldn't finessed. We booked 2 rooms, they are good but for the bathroom few steps every time need to climb. Night 10:30 and morning 7 we called at the reception but no one was available. Our experience was good, we met the owner. He was very knowledgeable and welcoming. Rooms and bathrooms were very cleaned. Our own sleepers are not allowed inside the Mansion. They gave cotton sleepers but it was not a good idea to wear and climb stairs, too sleepery. They are maintaining the place well. Very friendly staff, good breakfast and clean ambience.

HiWe stayed at Chettinad Mansion, Kanadukathan, and it was a truly memorable experience. The mansion beautifully reflects the rich heritage and traditional architecture of Chettinad, with well-maintained rooms and a peaceful, homely atmosphere.The hospitality was outstanding throughout our stay. The staff were courteous, attentive, and made us feel very comfortable. A special mention to the manager, Mr. Gopu, who personally took time to give us a detailed tour of the mansion. He explained the history, architecture, and unique features very clearly and patiently. He also suggested several good nearby places to visit, which helped us plan our trip better and made our visit more enjoyable.The overall ambience, cleanliness, and calm surroundings added to the charm of the stay. It is an ideal place for anyone who wants to experience authentic Chettinad culture and warm hospitality. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend Chettinad Mansion, Kanadukathan to our friends and family.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The old mansion is a delight and the rooms are comfortable and highly functional. The location of the mansion is terrific. A walk around the town is very interesting plus this is a great spot to use as a base for exploring the wider area. The meals here are excellent. They are delicious and the menus are well thought through. Just have a light lunch is my tip. Apart from the mansion itself, the real stars of the hotel are the staff. They are unfailingly helpful, polite and efficient. All the staff here made our stay a very happy one and we extend our heartfelt thanks (along with a well deserved tip!). I highly recommend this hotel and would very happily stay here again anytime

The architecture is beautiful but the palace staff were very hostile like they are living in old raja time. Very rude denying entry saying it's a family home. Atleast they should mention it outside before publicising it as a tourist attraction
