I inquired about the hotel's availability and room size since we were a group, but the receptionist was very rude and arrogant, questioning why I wanted to know the room size, showing no manners.

We recently enjoyed a weekend at Cocobay Resort, and it was an enchanting experience throughout. The hospitality stood out immediately, with staff being very friendly, modest, and helpful. They even arranged for us to check in early, which made our stay more pleasant. A unique part of our arrival was being taken to the resort by boat through a canal after parking our car—something I had never experienced before, and it set a relaxing mood right away. The resort’s setting is gorgeous, located right on the edge of Vembanad Lake, offering stunning views. Relaxing by the lake with a cup of tea or coffee in the evening breeze was a highlight. The food was great, the atmosphere calm, and the property was well maintained throughout. The swimming pool was clean and about 4.5 feet deep, perfect for adults to enjoy comfortably. Although I didn’t get to try the spa this time, they have various massage options that I plan to experience on my next visit. Overall, Cocobay Resort went beyond our expectations with its beautiful location, tasty food, outstanding service, and tranquil environment, making for a memorable stay. I highly recommend it to anyone seeking a peaceful getaway and am already eager to return!

If you're seeking a tranquil backwater retreat in Kumarakom, this place is excellent. The setting is stunning, and after checking out multiple resorts nearby, I truly believe this one provides some of the finest backwater views and ambiance. The cottage-style design is a major advantage. With only a few rooms available, the resort never feels busy, making it ideal for a calm and restful escape. The pool is great, and the staff are friendly, attentive, and very welcoming throughout the visit. The rooms could use some updating; although comfortable, they seem somewhat old-fashioned, particularly the walls, switches, and finishes. Additionally, when the resort isn't full, the restaurant's menu is quite limited. However, there are plenty of good dining options close by, so this isn't much of a problem. In summary, it's a wonderful property with a lovely location, excellent service, and a serene vibe. If you're coming to Kumarakom for the backwaters, I would certainly suggest staying here.

We recently marked my parents' 50th Wedding Anniversary at Cocobay Kumarkom resort, and it was an amazing experience. Many thanks to Rajesh, Binoy, and Anathu for their outstanding assistance and for organizing everything just as planned. The whole team, from reservations to on-site staff, was friendly, supportive, and professional. We particularly enjoyed the distinctive 2-minute boat trip from the parking lot to the resort—it added a special touch to our visit! Thank you for helping us make wonderful family memories.
