Friendly hospitality and welcoming staff. The property isn't new, but the rooms are tidy and well-maintained.

My friend and his family had a very disappointing experience at this hotel. The only reason I gave 1 star instead of zero is because the receptionist on duty during the evening, night, and morning was polite, helpful, and did his best despite the hotel's obvious flaws. Issues began right after check-in: - The room and hallway were dirty, with sticky floors that clearly hadn't been cleaned properly. - The toilets were unhygienic and the toilet door lacked a proper inside lock. - Several lights in the room didn't work, and many damaged items were left unrepaired. - The air conditioner was very noisy and barely cooled the room. - Cockroaches were spotted inside the room. - Basic amenities like complimentary drinking water, tea, or coffee were not provided. Misleading Location Though the hotel name suggests it is at the KSRTC Bus Station, it is actually more than 1 km away, which can mislead travelers looking for accommodation near the bus stand. The approach road is also problematic, passing through an area filled with old vehicle spare parts shops and damaged or accident vehicles, making it uncomfortable, especially for families arriving late at night. There are very few restaurants or food options nearby, adding to the inconvenience. Unpleasant Atmosphere From what my friend and family saw, the hotel seemed to mainly attract groups using rooms for late-night drinking and couples seeking cheap accommodation. Empty liquor bottles were found near room entrances and balconies, creating an uncomfortable environment for families. OYO Promise Not Fulfilled Before booking, my friend contacted OYO Care since the hotel's contact number redirected there. OYO confirmed a late check-in at 7:00 PM and a late check-out until 1:00 PM (instead of the usual 11:00 AM), assuring this would be communicated to the hotel. However, after check-in, this was not honored, and OYO provided no effective support when the issue came up. Final Thoughts This hotel is not suitable for families or anyone expecting basic cleanliness and comfort. It urgently needs improvements in housekeeping, maintenance, pest control, amenities, and guest management. If you just want the cheapest place to sleep for a night and have very low expectations, it might be okay for some solo male travelers. Otherwise, I strongly suggest choosing a different hotel in Kottayam. Overall Rating: 1 out of 5 stars.
