PROS:’The reception experience started on a warm note with a shell garland and welcome drink.’One of the resort's unique charms was spotting peahens and peacocks strolling across the lush green lawns and perching on the trees.’The breakfast buffet catered well to South Indian tastes and featured several local Kumta specialties, including Kumta Poha, Kumta Ambade, and Kumta Ghee Pudi Dosa.’The restaurant staff were cheerful and attentive.’The room was simply epic. We stayed in the Premium Club Room, which was exceptionally spacious. The biggest advantage was having enough room to comfortably accommodate an extra bed without feeling cramped.’The swimming pool was another highlight’large, thoughtfully designed, and safe for both adults and children.’The property offers a pleasant walking and jogging track.’The private beach is beautiful, although it is best avoided during the rainy season as the sea can be quite rough.’Room service was prompt, efficient, and courteous.’Housekeeping excellent. Despite the large room size, cleanliness was maintained to a high standard. She also ensured guest safety during the monsoon by advising us to keep the balcony's double doors closed to prevent insects from entering.’The room's air-conditioning and ventilation were very effective.’The bathroom deserves special mention’it was extremely spacious, with 24/7 hot water available instantly. Even with three people using the facilities, there was never any waiting time for hot water. The large Jacuzzi was a wonderful feature, especially on rainy days when outdoor activities were limited.’The buggy service was extremely helpful, particularly for guests travelling with elderly family members.’The room was well-equipped with all essential amenities, including a safe, kettle, refrigerator, hairdryer, ironing board, and ample hangers in the wardrobe. A thoughtful touch was the provision of drinking water in glass bottles instead of plastic.CONS’While some reception staff were excellent, not everyone was equally attentive or welcoming. A few appeared disengaged.’Although signboards are available, the resort is located about 8’10 km off the main road, requiring a drive through interior roads to reach the property.’The swimming pool had a lifeguard on duty only during limited hours of the day.’The dinner menu, while maintaining good quality, offers limited options and is relatively expensive.

Had a wonderful stay. The staff was extremely polite, welcoming, and always ready to help. The food was very nice and enjoyable. I had requested a late checkout, and I truly appreciated their understanding and support in accommodating it. Definitely a place worth staying at, whether with family or for a business trip.

I recently visited Denissons Hotel for lunch. The food was genuinely good’flavorful and well-prepared.However, the service was disappointing. We noticed a clear difference in how guests were treated. Those who appeared more well-dressed or affluent were attended to quickly. Even after requesting service, there were delays, and at one point the staff’s were giggling when we tried to get their attention.Good food alone doesn’t make up for poor service. Hospitality should be about treating every guest with equal respect, regardless of appearance.
