We had booked the banquet hall and room accommodation at this hotel on 23rd and 24th May for a two-day seminar program for around 50 members. Unfortunately, the overall experience was extremely disappointing and unprofessional. The major issue throughout the event was the poor coordination, behavior, and handling by the manager, Mr. Zabil. From the first day till the completion of the seminar, Mr. Zabil failed to ensure even basic hospitality standards expected during a professional seminar event.Basic arrangements such as seminar notepads, pencils, proper table maintenance, replacement of used water bottles, and timely coordination were not done unless repeatedly requested by us. Every time we raised these concerns, Mr. Zabil’s response was that ’you should inform us.’ These are basic responsibilities of hotel management and should not require continuous reminders from guests.Even on the second day, seminar pads and pencils were not arranged before participants occupied the hall. Only after repeated requests were they distributed. Tea arrangements informed well in advance were also denied later by Mr. Zabil saying he had ’no information.’At 8 a.m. on the second day, we informed Mr. Zabil and the staff about a bad smell in the seminar hall and requested room freshener before the session started. Despite multiple reminders, action was taken only around 10 a.m.We had also specifically requested timely cleaning of the room since it was being used for our spiritual seminar schedule involving Guruji. Even then, housekeeping was delayed unnecessarily. The food was manageable, but the high tea snacks, especially the pakoras, were below expectations. The most disappointing part was the attitude and communication style of Mr. Zabil. Instead of taking responsibility and resolving issues professionally, he repeatedly denied information and shifted responsibility back onto us for even the most basic hospitality requirements.Further, after we expressed our dissatisfaction regarding the service, Mr. Zabil has been calling and advising us not to post reviews and indirectly threatening that he would also post reviews against our company. We would like to clearly state that we are not afraid of such statements. If there is any genuine mistake from our side, we are ready to accept it openly. In the same way, the hotel management should also be willing to accept genuine customer feedback instead of intimidating customers for sharing their experience. We regularly conduct seminars every month in Bangalore and have never faced such issues there. This was our first event in Hubli, and sadly, because of the handling by Mr. Zabil and the overall lack of professionalism, the experience was highly unsatisfactory. We sincerely hope the hotel management takes this feedback seriously and improves its hospitality standards, event coordination, and customer handling practices.
