The Fern Residency Hubballi, Series by Marriott

We stayed for two nights and it was a last minute decision to stay here but the hotel turned out to be really good. The food was even better. The service could have been better. There was no one around to help us with our luggage but barring that a good place to stay

The room was not at all well kept, the bathroom was not clean, the sheets, pillow, everything had a terrible smell. The hotel needs to seriously look into its cleanliness. The restaurant is okay, nothing great. The staff where really good, they where helpful and friendly.

We booked 2 rooms Room1 : The moment we entered the room there was a big black lizard on the curtains. The housekeeping team took it away almost after 30min. Then at night our sleep was disturbed 3 times by some noise , finally we found that there was a big rat in the room which was searching for food in our bags .It was so annoying, I was sitting outside my room for almost 45min with my 3 year old kid and after many request the housekeeping team came and just taped the opening from where the rat was entering the room.Room2: We requested for a non-smoking room , the moment we entered the room it was stinking of smoke the whole time.We kept requesting for Room change but they didn't provide one.

Except the morning breakfast nothing was good. Swimming pool was not functional, structural damage in the hotel. Bathrooms very clean but looking old needs renovation. snacks very limited menu, Dinner was not good. Also the hotel surroundings are not good at all. Overall should not be linked to Marriott. Will suggest to anyone.

Far Below Marriott StandardsGoogle lists this as a 4-star hotel, but it’s not even close. Being associated with the Marriott brand, this place is a huge letdown and gives them a bad name.* **The Bad:** The front desk staff was incredibly rude and unprofessional. I had to change rooms because the floor was wet and unclean, and the wooden flooring was torn up. Even worse, the bathroom was in terrible condition with a broken shower and flush.* **The Only Good Thing:** The food was genuinely good. The kitchen team is the literal only reason this place gets 1 star.Overall, Great food can't fix broken plumbing, terrible maintenance, and awful service. Save your money.Management seriously needs to renovate and remake these rooms and bathrooms completely.
