Elysium Resort Panchgani

Big Resort offers a beautiful scenic view from the balcony, garden, and swimming pool. If you are looking for a budget-friendly stay in Panchgani’Mahabaleshwar with a scenic view, this is a good option and value for money.However, there is scope for improvement in cleanliness in the dining area and food quality. We ordered French fries and cold coffee, but the taste was not satisfactory. Also, the TV was not functioning during our stay.On the positive side, the restroom was clean and well-organized, including the bathroom. Overall, the service was good, and the stay was comfortable.

I had booked Elysium Resort for 2 days during the IBW event and had selected the Maharaja Room, which is the highest-priced category listed on their property.At the time of check-in, I was given a room that was nothing like what was promised. Although the room size matched the description, the condition was extremely poor. The walls were cracked, the main door lock was broken, the bathroom lock was also broken, and the room was very dirty and unhygienic.When I asked the cleaning staff whether this was really the Maharaja Room, he clearly told me that this was a general room and that all Maharaja Rooms were already occupied.I immediately went to the reception, but instead of resolving the issue, the staff started arguing and said that since I booked through Agoda, this is the room I would get and that I should contact Agoda for any complaints. This response was extremely unprofessional and unacceptable.Thankfully, I managed to contact Agoda customer support, shared photos and videos as proof, and they intervened by speaking to the hotel. Only after this did the hotel shift me to another room. While the second room was slightly better, it was still not properly cleaned and far below the standard expected for the price paid. I would honestly not prefer staying in the first room even for free.Overall, this was a very disappointing experience, especially after paying a premium amount. The hotel clearly overbooks higher-category rooms and downgrades guests without consent.’ Poor room condition’ Misleading room category’ Unhelpful and rude reception staff’ Issue resolved only after Agoda’s interventionI would never recommend this hotel to anyone and will definitely avoid staying here again.This hotel misleads customers, overbooks premium rooms, and downgrades guests without consent.If there was an option, I would have given negative stars.

Place is good but not for couples, little bit scary as there will be no one in the hotel. Place needs to be renovated.

Nice place but lacking maintenance. This could be a pricier hotel if maintained well. I recommend this for the price it is sold. Overall a nice stay.
