Hotel Coramandal Heritage

I want to express my heartfelt thanks to the whole team at Coramandal Heritage for ensuring my parents had a comfortable and unforgettable stay last week. Before they arrived, I spoke with Raja, the caretaker, asking him to look after and assist my elderly parents who faced some language barriers. Raja was exceptionally kind, supportive, and attentive during their entire visit. He ensured their comfort, helped them whenever necessary, and patiently guided them whenever they needed support. His warmth and sincere care meant a great deal to us. It's uncommon to find people who go beyond their duties to make guests feel truly cared for. The hospitality, kindness, and personal attention my parents experienced gave me peace of mind even though I wasn't there with them. My parents were very pleased with their stay, and I am deeply thankful to Raja and the entire team for their excellent hospitality. It was a very enjoyable and memorable experience, and I would definitely suggest Coramandal Heritage to anyone seeking a comfortable stay in Pondicherry with warm, caring, and genuine hospitality. The property looks a heritage house. The room we stayed was big with a twin bed and a large queen size bed with a neat bathroom. The terrace was a nice touch . However the lobby ormutram was kept like a junk storage and spoils the look. There is always some one lying down on the sofa there, which adds a homely look but I paid for a professional hotel. But the worst thing is the street just outside is stinky as there is a trashbin a couple of houses and actually saw a guy urinate next to my car in the street. Though the street is not under the hotel control, if location is important, this may not be the one. Breakfast was limited but adequate. If only they maintain the rest of the hotel like the room we stayed in...

The property resembles a heritage house. Our room was spacious, featuring a twin bed and a large queen bed, along with a clean bathroom. The terrace was a pleasant addition. However, the lobby or common area was cluttered like a storage space, which detracted from the overall appearance. There was often someone lying on the sofa, giving a casual, homey feel, but I expected a professional hotel experience. The worst part was the street outside, which smelled bad due to a trash bin nearby, and I even saw someone urinating next to my car. While the hotel can't control the street, if location matters, this might not be ideal. Breakfast was limited but sufficient. I wish the rest of the hotel was maintained as well as our room.

Honestly, there are some aspects that could use improvement, but the entire place has a charming vintage vibe that really captivated me. It brought back memories of my travels to India in the late 80s and early 90s. The owner is very kind and attentive. The shower head in my bathroom was mostly clogged, so I spent about 20 minutes clearing it with a pin. So if you like taking a shower in the middle room on the second floor, you can thank me 😊

This property is very nice and cozy. The rooms are clean and the service is excellent. I highly recommend it.
