1/5Very disappointing experience — we checked out early and forfeited our second night.We stayed at Hotel Ganpat Grand in Palani, and unfortunately, the experience was extremely poor. When we arrived, we were given an interconnecting room, and the condition of the bathroom was immediately concerning. The bathroom was heavily covered in mould and was clearly not maintained to an acceptable standard. There were also cockroaches in the bathroom.During the night, we experienced further problems, including flies and what appeared to be bed bugs around the beds. We spent the entire night uncomfortable and unable to properly rest. The overall cleanliness and maintenance of the room were far below what we expected from a hotel of this standard.Because of the poor conditions, we decided that we simply could not stay for the second night and chose to check out, effectively forfeiting the remaining night’s stay.The location is very convenient if you are visiting Palani Murugan Temple, which is probably the biggest positive. However, a convenient location does not make up for poor hygiene, maintenance and service.If you are considering staying here, please be prepared for the possibility of a very unpleasant experience, from the service to the condition of the rooms and facilities.Very disappointing stay, and certainly not an experience we would want to repeat.
For the price paid, yes location is very good for pilgrimage visit but staff at reception are not so helpful for a slightly early check in to provide convenience.
