Awesome property for a quiet weekend getaway.
Joyful and relaxed stay at a jungle environment.Swimming pool was quite big and many activities for enjoyment, including zip lining and tree bridges.Only drawback is the Lunch buffet price was little higher, it should be below 1k/person.
Great resort. Value for money. Exceptional view and art work. Rooms are great. Pool is beautiful. They preserved lots of trees in forest retained the greenary in the resort. Feels very natural.

Disappointing Expensive Stay

Too expensive. For 15K, I have experienced much better service and stayed in far superior rooms. The plunge pool near our tent was very poorly maintained (we stayed at OTOSHI). The poolside beds were covered in moss. After two rain showers, the property was waterlogged in several areas up to ankle height. The breakfast offered at 15K was very disappointing. This Joypur Forest hotel seems to be a poor imitation of the BERJAYA RESORT in LANGKAWI, Malaysia. BERJAYA is located by the sea and charged us twice as much per night last year, but it was worth it. Anyone can verify this by searching online. The main problem with all Sonar Bangla Hotels in West Bengal is that they cut corners on their staff, which does not justify the high prices they charge.

The staff here are polite and offer genuinely warm hospitality, but the property has difficulty balancing its facilities with the fragile environment around it. We faced a significant disturbance when a private banquet held loud music with an emcee until 11:30 PM, breaking quiet-hour rules. In this peaceful forest location, such noise greatly affects both the local wildlife and the calm experience guests expect. The rooms also require improvement: the mid-century style results in an uncomfortably hot atmosphere, inconsistent lighting, and a confusing number of switches. Although the pool looks lovely, building a resort on the edge of adivasi land and forest has a large ecological impact. The front-line staff are wonderful but unfortunately do not have the power to manage disruptive guest behavior, so it’s unfair to blame them. The amenities are appealing, but if you value environmental care and tranquility, you might want to skip this place.
