Hotel Soneva Inn

The location was convenient and the staffs were friendly and helpful. However, the room and amenities were not up to value for money. I stayed here earlier with less money and better amenities like sofa, daily personal kit, etc. The facilities and the space could have been better.

We booked a room via MakeMyTrip which had a solid rating of 4.1 and looked like a decent option for one night stay.My family which includes me, my husband and my son who is ten years old. We chose the 120 square feet room as we were on a cross state road trip which involves a stop in Ranchi, the room was nothing like what they showed in the pictures. We were expecting a proper budget friendly stay but when we checked into our room we saw the worst room of all time. We knew we could not stay in that room especially after looking at the size of the bathroom. The small couch was all torn up and the entire room was poorly maintained. We decided to move to the so called premium room and the room was fine till we went to check the bathroom. The bathroom was extremely dirty overall including the main and most important part of it which was the water. The water was very dirty , that water kept everyone out we decided to leave and decided to spend the Night at the another hotel which was at least a 100 times better . We checked out at about 10 pm and that was a good decision but the staff here were not willing to give any refunds including the money we paid to upgrade and told us that the water tank was dirty and they were going to clean it in about five minutes or so and we knew that was a lie just to wiggle out of their situation . We also mentioned that we couldn’t rinse our mouths nor take a bath. And we checked out and went to another hotel which was way much better but we also lost ’3500 in the process. We also realised that the reviews on MakeMyTrip could have been written by their own staff. We do not recommend to stay here at all.

Rooms are small but quite Good and maintained.Power supply fluctuations is more that is not expected in Hotels.Food is good.Staffs are nice.

We booked the entire hotel for 4 days for a family function as it was nearer to the marriage venue. The major complaint of our guests was lack of cleanliness in the bathrooms. At times even the most newly constructed rooms were having dirty water in taps for bathing and guests had to go to other rooms to bath. Such inconvenience to guests brought great disrepute to us as host.Bottom line the hotel is not to fit to accommodate guests for big events.Lesson - Never pay full amount of booking to this hotel in advance. You never know what kind of service will be provided despite painting a rosy picture at the time of booking.

Stayed there for a week, went to attend a wedding in Ranchi.Overall nice experience, bed was spacious, room was clean and quiet, room service was also good.Staffs were helpful and nice.Gate was open till late night as we always came late due to functions, a staff was always present at the reception.Food was 10/10, tried many items whenever we were at the hotel..pics attached.You can easily get public transport like autos, ola, uber outside the hotel..just 1 min walking to the main road.Parking is not available, you have to park on the side of the lane at your own risk.Became a fan of their food, in house restaurant, outside people are also allowed in their restaurant.Overall it was a pleasant stay.
