I had an amazing stay at Windsor Bay The Mayfield Hotel. The cleanliness throughout the property was truly impressive ’ everything from the rooms to the common areas was spotless and well-maintained.The hotel itself is one of the best I’ve experienced, especially the pool area. The pool is absolutely clean, well-designed, and perfect for relaxing or spending quality time.A special mention to the management, especially Harshit bhai, who was extremely helpful, polite, and ensured that everything was taken care of perfectly. His hospitality really made a difference and added a personal touch to the entire experience.

Not at all good property, after paying somuch completely disappointed, staff not responding properly. Worst pool , no proper hot water . Mattress are not good , cockroach ’? all around in rooms , no parking - you have to struggle for parking. Not maintain hygiene , no room services .

My recent stay at Mayfield Hotel was deeply disappointing, and I feel compelled to share my experience so that future visitors are aware of what to expect.1. Misleading promises about facilitiesThe hotel advertised a swimming pool, which was indeed present but not usable. It had not been cleaned, and despite asking daily when it would be ready, the staff repeatedly misled us with promises of ’tomorrow morning.’ This was never fulfilled.2. False claims about locationTheir platform states that Baga Beach is only 850 meters away. In reality, it is more than 4 kilometers from the property. This is a clear misrepresentation and highly inconvenient for guests expecting easy access.3. Poor room conditionsThe rooms were in unacceptable condition. Floors felt sticky, there was a persistent foul odor, and cockroaches were present. Such hygiene standards are far below what any guest should tolerate.4. Inefficient housekeepingEven after requesting room cleaning at 9:30 a.m., the staff consistently delayed service until 3:30 or 4:00 p.m. This only happened after multiple reminders, and the staff often blamed each other rather than taking responsibility.5. Payment issues and unprofessional behaviorDespite being a hotel in Goa, payments were restricted to cash or UPI. The receptionist admitted she did not know how to operate the card machine, while a staff member named Harshit claimed the machine ’doesn’t work’ and insisted on cash or UPI only.During my checkout, I requested an extension until 9 p.m. and agreed to pay ’1000 extra. However, Harshit publicly berated the receptionist for agreeing to this amount, insisting it should have been ’2000. He even threatened to destroy the POS machine, displaying shocking rudeness and disrespect both toward his colleague and toward me as a paying guest. Such behavior is unacceptable in hospitality.6. One positive exceptionThe only redeeming aspect of this hotel was Mr. Raj, a staff member who was humble, genuine, and truly professional. Unlike the rest of the team, he treated guests with respect and care. Raj deserves recognition and a better workplace than this establishment.Final VerdictMy overall experience at Mayfield Hotel was pathetic and regretful. The misleading advertisements, poor hygiene, unprofessional staff, and payment hassles make this hotel one of the worst options in Goa. I strongly advise travelers to avoid this property. Hotels like this tarnish the reputation of Goa’s hospitality industry.The only positive note is Mr. Raj, whose professionalism stood out amidst the chaos. Unfortunately, one good staff member cannot compensate for the systemic failures of this hotel.Recommendation: A firm NO to Mayfield Hotel.
