The entire process of check in and check out time consuming and they were not allowing to room even while I had kid with us until check in formularise . Rooms were quite small for given price and resorts looks and amenities were good. Food was bit expensive and not worth taste

We stayed for two days in the cottage and room smell was bad. Everything is over priced including water and dinner.They are not segregating family and party residents. I booked this property to have valuable time in engaging sports activities but not maintained properly. I suggest pls maintain the sports equipment good and keep the place clean.

We stayed at Jal Mahal Resort & Spa, Mysore for two nights in a Deluxe Elegance room with breakfast (paid 9,100). I’m writing this to share what worked and what needs improvement so future guests and the hotel team can benefit.Location and value- The resort is set away from the city center, which gives it a quieter, more relaxed feel. Note that local drivers (cabs and autos) told us it’s farther than typical Mysore hotels and often quote higher fares for the trip.- For the price we paid, some facilities and service standards felt below expectations.Positives- Food quality was the highlight of our stay. Meals were well prepared and tasty. Chef Arjun deserves special mention for being helpful and attentive during our meals.- When we reported a broken landline, maintenance responded quickly and repaired it — that was handled professionally.Check-in and arrival- Our booking included express check-in, but that was not honored. We were asked to wait at the reception even though our baby was sleeping on my wife’s shoulder. The reception seating area had no free space; sofas were occupied with luggage and backpacks. The staff were processing another family’s check-in, and no effort was made to prioritize our situation or offer an alternative (for example, a seat away from the reception desk or a quick room key).- A smoother, genuinely expedited check-in process is needed, especially for guests with infants or special needs.Room cleanliness and hygiene- The bathroom had a significant cockroach problem. I had already informed staff that we were travelling with a baby and would prefer no insects in the room. At night they offered to move us to a smaller room; we declined and instead asked for the room to be cleaned. Even after cleaning, cockroaches were still visible, including on the commode. This is a major hygiene concern and unacceptable when travelling with an infant.- I recommend the hotel carry out deeper pest control measures and tighter housekeeping checks, especially in bathrooms and around plumbing.Housekeeping and amenities- We requested hand towels twice and did not receive them. Basic amenities should be provided reliably without repeated follow-ups.- The Wi‑Fi password was not given at check-in. Staff said they would send it later but didn’t. On day 1 we received a Wi‑Fi coupon, but it lasted only one day; we were not provided a second-day access voucher even though our stay was for two nights. This gave us inconsistent internet access across our stay and caused avoidable inconvenience.Dining logistics- Our room card mentioned lunch would begin at 12:30 pm, but the restaurant served lunch only from 1:00 pm. We waited with our baby for that extra half hour. If timings change, clearer communication at check-in or a notice in the restaurant would help guests plan better.Staff behaviour and management- One manager spoke very harshly to staff in public while we were having lunch and dinner. He repeatedly reprimanded and “taught” them in front of other guests. This created an uncomfortable atmosphere. Constructive feedback to staff is important, but it should be done privately to maintain dignity and a pleasant dining environment for guests.Overall impression and suggestions- The resort has potential: good food and a pleasant location are definite positives. However, operational lapses — unkept promise of express check-in, pest issues in the bathroom, inconsistent provision of basic items (hand towels, Wi‑Fi), incorrect meal timings, and unprofessional public reprimands by management — significantly affected our stay.- If the hotel addresses the pest control and housekeeping standards, enforces reliable service for basic amenities, honors express-check-in commitments, and trains management on respectful staff interactions, it would make a big difference to guest experience.- For families with infants, I would advise calling the hotel ahead to reconfirm express check-in, pest control status, and wh
