Joyous Rooms

My partner and I spent two nights at Joyous Rooms and had a fantastic time. The host was very supportive and sincerely attentive. He provided a thorough sightseeing plan and even recommended changes depending on the weather, demonstrating his genuine care for guests. The rooms were clean and cozy, and the location is ideal, with all the main attractions in Sohra nearby, which made our trip much more convenient, especially since we traveled by two-wheeler. If you're heading to Cherrapunji, I highly suggest Joyous Rooms. Friendly service, tidy rooms, excellent location. Definitely recommend!

We spent three nights here during our trip to Cherrapunji and had a fantastic time. Highlights: Location: Only a 5-minute drive from the main market and located just behind Orange Roots, the top vegetarian restaurant. It's very convenient for visiting tourist spots without extra travel or constant car noise, plus it provides a peaceful view of the surroundings. Rooms: The rooms are simple but have comfortable beds, useful amenities, and clean bathrooms with 24/7 hot water. Parking and driver accommodation are available, but it's best to confirm in advance. Service: Bob, our host, deserves 10 stars. He was extremely kind and attentive, truly one of the nicest people you'll meet. He went above and beyond to ensure our stay was enjoyable and makes excellent coffee—just ask him for a strong cup! Things to note: Food: There is no in-house cooking, so you'll need to dine out. They can assist with takeout from nearby eateries, but please arrange this with them beforehand. Connectivity: Wi-Fi and mobile network signals were weak, which is a common issue throughout Cherrapunji rather than specific to the homestay. Overall: We really enjoyed our time at Joyous Rooms, especially because of Bob's warm hospitality. Highly recommended!

Excellent hotel and room offered at a reasonable cost. The hosts deliver very good service. I would strongly suggest this place to anyone visiting Cherrapunji!
