We stayed at Kuttanad Kayak Club for three days, and it was truly an amazing experience. The peace and quiet of the place is what makes the stay especially worthwhile. The property is beautifully located right by the river,serene, scenic, and hard to beat.The house itself has a lovely old-world charm, reflecting traditional Kerala-style architecture that adds to its uniqueness. It offers basic yet comfortable amenities, including beds, a clean bathrooms, and air conditioning,perfect for a relaxed and hassle-free stay.Mr. Hormese, the owner, was incredibly helpful throughout our stay. From suggesting places to visit to guiding us on food options, he ensured everything was smooth and enjoyable. Although the property doesn’t provide food, his recommendations for deliveries were excellent and very convenient. He also arranged activities like a canoe ride, motorboat ride, and speedboat ride, which made our experience even more memorable.If you're looking to enjoy the best of Kerala in a calm and laid-back setting, this is definitely the place to be. As an added bonus, the famous church featured in Vinnaithaandi Varuvaayaa and Trisha’s house from the movie are located just about 800 meters away, making it a great spot for film lovers too.We would definitely love to visit again!

Although food is not served on-site, his delivery recommendations were excellent and convenient. He also organized activities like canoeing, motorboat, and speedboat rides, which enhanced our experience. If you want to enjoy Kerala in a peaceful and laid-back environment, this is the perfect spot. Additionally, the famous church from Vinnaithaandi Varuvaayaa and Trisha’s house from the movie are just about 800 meters away, making it a great place for movie fans as well. We would definitely like to come back!

Top Riverside Heritage Homestay in Alleppey Backwater ideal for families or groups

Wonderful home stay. Peaceful and calm and much better than luxurious hotels with best back water views just in front of the house. Solar geyser available. Clean rest rooms. Very economical and accommodate 8 members easily. Mr. Hormese is a great host and can arrange canoeing, kayaking right in front of the house. Car parking available 100 meters from the house. Overall great homestay closer to Alleppey.

This is one of my best experience of stays I have very had. Location is so so so good you cant missed when visiting to alleppy as it is on the backwaters. Hormese sir the owner is so helpful and cooperative with the transportation and stay. It was truly amazing experience and unforgettable.
