I had a pleasant stay at La Franklin Hotel, Bhubaneswar. The room was neat, clean and hygienic, and the overall environment of the hotel was quiet and peaceful. I also appreciated that the hotel offers both smoking and non-smoking rooms, allowing guests to choose according to their preference.The hotel has an in-house restaurant with convenient operating hours, and the option to have food delivered directly to the room adds a lot of convenience.I tried fried rice and paneer curry for lunch, followed by noodles and Manchurian for dinner. The fried rice and paneer curry were quite good and had a familiar, universally appealing taste. The quality of the preparation reflected the overall standards of the hotel, and I had no complaints with either dish.The noodles and Manchurian were slightly different. They had more of a traditional Chinese flavour rather than the Indo-Chinese taste that many people in India are accustomed to. The noodles were decent, although the taste may not suit everyone’s palate if you’re more familiar with Indian-style Chinese food.For the Manchurian, I had specifically requested extra gravy, but there seemed to be a little too much cornflour in the gravy, which left an overpowering cornflour taste. The noodles also felt slightly more oily than I would have preferred. Apart from these points, the food was good overall.The portion sizes are quite reasonable, and the convenience of having the food served in the room is definitely a plus. However, I felt that the pricing is on the higher side compared with the portion sizes. The pricing felt reasonable for my lunch, but for dinner, considering the taste and quality, I felt it was somewhat expensive. Even a regular Thums Up bottle that costs around 20 outside was charged at roughly three times that price at the hotel.Overall, I had a good, quiet and hassle-free stay. The hotel is surrounded by greenery, which adds to the peaceful atmosphere. Having your own vehicle or a convenient transport arrangement would make the stay even more comfortable.Overall, a good option for a short business stay, particularly if you value cleanliness, peace and the convenience of an in-house restaurant.
Lots of greenary. parking. well maintained. rooms are clean. bathroom also good. Breakfast was very good. lots of items. Non veg food options are availablelittle away from city.
