The view of the lake and the mountain in the background (from the balcony) is beautiful. The swimming pool is also functional. Can be considered VFM if these are the only two criteria that would affect your decision. Improvements suggested:1. The bathroom doors and the washbasin fittings need immediate replacement.2. Heater facility need to be provided 24*7 instead of the as needed basis.3. The table tennis bats need to be replaced, and the sports area needs to be revamped (currently it is dusty and not usable)4. Breakfast was below par in terms of taste and options. Would suggest removing the breakfast option and instead offering a discounted price.The person in charge was very nice and helped out with all our questions but that doesn't take away the need for the facility to be kept properly.

☆☆☆☆ (1/5) — Extremely Disappointing Stay at Mizzle Resort, WayanadI recently stayed at Mizzle Resort with my parents and our pet dog during a monsoon trip to Wayanad. Unfortunately, the experience was far below expectations and became one of the most disappointing hotel stays we have had.Positives* The surrounding natural scenery is beautiful.* The location offers views of the hills and greenery.* The monsoon atmosphere around the property is pleasant.* Pet-friendly accommodation is a positive feature.Unfortunately, the positives ended there.Major IssuesRoom ConditionThe room was not maintained to an acceptable standard.* Damaged walls were visible.* Insects were present inside the room.* The overall condition felt neglected.* The AC swing function was not working properly.For the price charged, the room quality was disappointing.Lack of Basic AmenitiesSeveral basic amenities that most travelers expect were unavailable.* No kettle in the room.* No tea or coffee provisions.* No milk available.* No proper drinking water arrangement.* Basic convenience items were missing.These may seem like small things individually, but together they create a frustrating guest experience.Food ProblemsFood availability was a major concern.* Limited dining options nearby.* Most nearby options were non-vegetarian.* Difficulty finding suitable food.* Even basic tea and refreshments were difficult to obtain at certain times.Guests should not struggle to find basic food and beverages while staying at a resort.Poor InfrastructureSeveral operational shortcomings reduced comfort.* Insufficient outdoor lighting.* Limited parking space.* Inadequate support for guests arriving during bad weather.* Poor convenience during nighttime movement around the property.Overall ComfortThe resort felt isolated without providing the facilities expected from a remote resort.The property seems to rely heavily on its natural surroundings, but the actual guest experience falls short because of poor maintenance and inadequate amenities.Final VerdictThe beautiful scenery around Wayanad helped save the trip, but the resort itself did not.If you are looking for:* Comfortable accommodation* Reliable amenities* Good food access* Proper room maintenanceI would not recommend this property based on my experience.Ratings🏞️ Location & Scenery: 8/10🛏️ Room Quality: 2/10🍽️ Food & Convenience: 1/10💡 Facilities & Amenities: 1/10🚗 Parking & Accessibility: 3/10🐕 Pet Friendliness: 6/10 Overall Experience: 1/10Would I stay here again? Pros:Location & Views: The resort is in a great, easily accessible location with a beautiful view of the dam. The swimming pool was okay.Staff: The two maintenance boys were actually very helpful and responsive. One of them, a local guy,—he knew the area well and gave us guidance on local spots to visit.Cons:Unfortunately, despite the staff's best efforts, nothing could make up for the terrible maintenance and lack of cleanliness.Room & Bathroom: The walls were very dirty, and the bedding and blankets felt completely unhygienic. In the bathroom, the lights were broken, and the tap was malfunctioning. Additionally, the balcony door did not lock at all, which is a major safety concern.Extra Bed: The extra bed provided was in awful condition—essentially like garbage.Service & Food: Despite this, breakfast wasn't served until after 9:30 AM, and it was incredibly basic.Highly disappointed with the upkeep of the property. The staff is doing their best, but the management needs to seriously invest in deep cleaning, repairs, and better kitchen management.

The rooms are very small, there is no food available so you need to order from outside, and the doors often get stuck, particularly the bathroom doors which don't lock. However, the view from the room is stunning.

This is a hilltop resort with a nice view. It is located 19KM from Kurumbalakotta and 40KM from Kottiyoor Temple. They provide only rooms, and for meals, you have to order from nearby restaurants. Overall, the experience was good and the stay was pleasant.
