I spent weeks looking for a quiet lakeview resort for a vacation with my parents. Since it was monsoon season, having a lake view was the main reason I chose Silverwoods Resort. Before booking, I confirmed multiple times with the reservation agent, Sreeresh, that I needed two lake view rooms. He assured me repeatedly and shared photos, so I booked based on those assurances. After paying, communication slowed down, though I kept getting the same reply: “Sure, sir.” When I arrived with my elderly parents, wife, and two kids, the experience was very disappointing. Despite many staff, there was no coordination or professionalism. Reception did not properly assist a family with seniors and children. Even a simple request for a sugar-free welcome drink for my father was forgotten. The biggest letdown was at check-in when I was told all lake view rooms were under maintenance and my room was “upgraded.” This was the first time maintenance was mentioned. If I had known earlier, I would have canceled or postponed. Instead of the lake view I booked and paid for, our rooms faced a jackfruit tree, bamboo, and the back of another villa. The room also lacked basic amenities like a tea/coffee maker, electric kettle, and intercom. Issues continued during the stay. The pool lights were off because the technician was on leave. We ordered Beef Dry Fry for dinner but after 20 minutes were told it wasn’t available. No one explained the resort’s facilities or activities after check-in, so we missed many experiences. What made it worse was ongoing maintenance throughout the resort. There was constant drilling, hammering, wood cutting, and construction noise. Guests expect peace and relaxation, not a construction zone. Renovations are understandable, but rooms shouldn’t be sold at premium prices during major work. At 8 PM, reception called to say a lake view room was finally free. We had checked in at 1:30 PM, so offering it after sunset for one night was pointless. We also expected a breakfast buffet, but there was none despite the resort’s 4.5-star rating. Even after all the trouble, they charged separately for evening tea and snacks without any goodwill. Having stayed in over 50 resorts, this was one of my most disappointing experiences. The problem wasn’t just the room but false promises, poor communication, lack of coordination, ongoing maintenance, and failure to deliver what was specifically booked and confirmed. I cannot recommend Silverwoods Resort. If room type or view matters, get everything in writing and think carefully before booking.

Waking up to the fresh air and serene atmosphere was one of the best parts of the trip.If you're looking for a quiet getaway close to Banasura Lake, this is definitely a place worth considering. We had an amazing stay! After so many years, we finally came back to this place where we spent our honeymoon 11 years ago, and this time we were blessed to share the experience with our two kids. It was truly a memorable and special trip for our family.The entire team was warm, friendly, and welcoming. We especially loved the delicious breakfast and tea. The room was spacious, clean, and equipped with excellent facilities, making our stay very comfortable.Everything exceeded our expectations, and we thoroughly enjoyed every moment. We feel truly grateful for the wonderful hospitality and would highly recommend this place. We look forward to visiting again!
