Nature Zone Jungle Resort

We had the most incredible time at Nature Zone Jungle Resort. From the adventure of the jeep journey up to the resort, to the warm welcome and really well-organised activities. The Resort is in the middle of nature - words cannot describe how beautiful the surroundings are and how wonderful it feels to be so totally immersed in the forest and tea plantations. The tours in the morning and the evening were informative, exciting and afforded the most breathtaking views of sunrise and sunset. We also really enjoyed the food - we had delicious breakfast and dinner and one of the best lunches we've had throughout our entire stay in India. Walking around the area we saw incredible wildlife, including the famous giant squirrels and even a lingur! It is the perfect combination of wild, interesting, relaxing, comfortable and a totally unique experience. I cannot recommend Nature Zone enough.

Nature Zone Resort in the mountains overlooking Munnar town is set in an amazingly beautiful location. Waking up high above the valley, surrounded by nature and sweeping views over the tea plantations, really is spectacular.On our first morning, the sound of temple music drifting up from the valley at 4am was atmospheric ’ although it did go on a little longer than I would have liked. Unfortunately, music played in the restaurant later that morning felt like an unwelcome intrusion into what should have been a peaceful, natural setting. When you stay somewhere like this, you really want to hear the birds and the forest, and there was certainly plenty of birdlife around the resort. Our second morning was far more peaceful and very enjoyable.Service was a little hit and miss and could be improved. The internet was unreliable and kept dropping out, which may be an issue for anyone needing to stay connected. The food, however, was very good. There is no alcohol available to purchase, and guests can’t drink their own in the restaurant, although you can have it in your room.We stayed in one of the Safari huts, which had very comfortable beds, a good hot shower, and a balcony where we could sit and take in the amazing view.One big downside for me was the access. The 35’40 minute jeep ride along a dirt and rock track was a real bone-shaker ’ I found it quite horrendous, even though the scenery along the way was splendid. Waiting in town for the jeep to collect us, and then waiting again at the resort for the return trip, was also frustrating.Would I stay here again? If you can handle the very rough track, waking up surrounded by nature overlooking beautiful valleys is truly special. But I’m honestly not sure I could face that road a second

Nature Zone Resort, MunnarNature Zone Resort is set in an exceptionally beautiful location high in the mountains above Munnar town. Waking up above the valley, surrounded by forest and overlooking the rolling tea plantations, is genuinely spectacular. The setting alone makes a strong first impression.On our first morning, temple music drifted up from the valley around 4am. It was atmospheric and part of the local experience, although it continued a little longer than I would have preferred. Later that morning, however, music played in the restaurant felt slightly out of place. In such a natural setting, you really want to hear the forest and the birds ’ and there is plenty of birdlife around the property. Thankfully, our second morning was peaceful and far more in keeping with the surroundings.Service was somewhat inconsistent and could be more polished. The WiFi was unreliable and dropped out frequently, which may be challenging for anyone needing a stable connection. The food, however, was very good. There is no alcohol available for purchase, and guests cannot drink their own in the restaurant, although it is permitted in the rooms.We stayed in one of the Safari huts, which had very comfortable beds, a good hot shower, and a balcony with outstanding views ’ a wonderful place to sit and take everything in.The main drawback for me was the access. The 35’40 minute jeep journey along a very rough dirt and rock track is not for the faint-hearted. The scenery is beautiful, but the ride itself is extremely bumpy. Waiting in town for collection and again at the resort for the return trip was also a little frustrating.Would I return? The location and views are truly special if you’re happy to be immersed in nature. However, I would have to seriously consider whether I could face that road again.

The location offers a really great experience, and the dinner was quite nice. The service throughout the stay was excellent. Breakfast, however, was just average.The main drawback is that despite paying a premium price, the tent was not kept very clean. Some of the facilities, especially the bathrooms, were not well maintained. With better cleanliness and upkeep, the overall experience could have been much better. We were asked to check out by 11:30 AM, but after that we were made to wait until 12:05 PM only because the property wanted to share the jeep with other guests who hadn’t checked out yet.During this entire time, no one seemed bothered that we were sitting inside the jeep in extremely hot weather. There was no proper communication, no alternative arrangement, and no concern shown for guest comfort.Making guests wait for more than half an hour after checkout just to optimize jeep sharing is completely unacceptable and honestly very disappointing. This experience was really disgusting and poorly managed.We booked the African safari tent on 20th Dec 2025 under the name of Sreejith

We had such a lovely time at the resort. Pick up was super easy on a very fun (but definitely not for those uncomfortable with a rough ride) jeep trek to a beautiful location nestled in the mountains. The staff were so lovely and helpful, always with a smile and told us/showed us some awesome stuff! The walks were also amazing and offered some great views and great company. The food was also fantastic and they were so helpful. Rooms were also really lovely and comfortable. The sounds of the city does carry and there was a big celebration at a temple that was loud, but all part of the authentic experience. 10/10 would absolutely come back and highly recommend!
