Palmgrove Lake Resort

The rooms were very spacious & very comfortable bed. Good size bathroom, but water pressure not great. Our water come out of the tap dirty, might have to with maintenance/building a 2nd floor. The smell of paint wasn’t pleasant. Grounds are well kept & the pool was lovely. Lots of mosquitoes best you have repellent. Lacked seating around the water front. Would be nice to have some seats & a table when you could sit & unwind. Breakfast was a total disappointment. Only Indian breakfast. Or toast. 2nd morning breakfast was buffet, some stuff but was cold as had been sitting there since early morning, we went at 9am & no seats so had to come back. By then very little left. I think they need more options for a healthy breakfast. Overall breakfast was horrible but room & location was great.

My stay at this hotel was wonderful. The room was tidy, roomy, cozy, and well-kept, offering a stunning view of the lake. Starting the day with such a calm and picturesque scene made the experience memorable. The staff were kind and accommodating, and the ambiance was soothing and enjoyable. I strongly suggest this place for those seeking a comfortable retreat near nature!

We enjoyed a fantastic 2-day visit at Palmgrove Lake Resort in Alleppey. Everything was excellent - the rooms were spotless and cozy, the atmosphere was very tranquil, and the grounds were well kept. The lakeside view is stunning, especially at dusk. The food was delicious and reasonably priced for guests staying in the rooms. It felt very home-cooked and flavorful. The whole place is wonderful and ideal for a peaceful retreat. One small recommendation: It would be great to have DND and Room Cleaning signs on the doors, and to carry out regular maintenance and thorough cleaning of rooms and common areas. That would make it a perfect 10 out of 10.

Good location property is poorly maintained. Dust in room not good as their room rent. TV is not smart so nothing to do with it. No restaurent round the clock, swiggy and zomato available. We were staying in water front villa and from morning there were workers in front of the room for lawn work which was killing our privacy and experience. We got little late to checkout which was our mistake but the propery manager called and his tone at that point of time was very disrespectful which really let me down and was not at all expecting that kind of thing.Edit after resort reply:The statement saying the work was from govt is untrue as this is just a lawn grass work done by the resort not the lake side concrete work. Also i checkout the room by 1.10 pm not 2 pm , its true that i was late but it was never 2 pm and the communication made by your team and the person on phone was very unprofessional to a guest which was not at all sounded a good approach.

The location is good but the property is not well maintained. There was dust in the room, which is disappointing given the room rent. The TV is not a smart TV, so it offers limited entertainment options. There is no restaurant open 24/7, but Swiggy and Zomato are available for food delivery. We stayed in a waterfront villa, and workers were doing lawn maintenance right outside our room from the morning, which affected our privacy and overall experience. We checked out a bit late, which was our fault, but the property manager called and spoke in a very disrespectful tone, which was disappointing and unexpected. After the resort's reply: The claim that the work was government-related is false; it was just lawn maintenance by the resort, not lakeside concrete work. Also, I checked out at 1:10 pm, not 2 pm. While I was late, it was never as late as 2 pm. The communication from your team and the person on the phone was very unprofessional and did not reflect a good approach to guests.
