KTDC Kumarakom Gateway Resort

Our stay at this resort was fantastic. The staff were welcoming and consistently eager to assist with a smile. The best part of our visit was the view of Vembanad Kayal. The resort combines comfort, nature, and hospitality beautifully.

My stay at KTDC Kumarakom Gateway was a truly pleasant experience. The property is set in a beautiful location surrounded by lush greenery, which creates a calm and refreshing atmosphere. The resort offers good recreational facilities that make the stay enjoyable and relaxing.🍽️ The breakfast buffet was impressive with a nice spread, while the dinner buffet could use some improvement in variety and taste. That said, the staff were extremely welcoming and courteous, which added warmth to the overall experience.🚶 Accessibility is another plus point — the hotel is within walking distance from the bus stand, close to Cherthala Railway Station, and about 45 minutes from Alappuzha bus stand, making it convenient for travelers.✨ Overall, KTDC Kumarakom Gateway is a great choice for a peaceful getaway with friendly service and a scenic environment. With a little enhancement to the dinner offerings, it could be an even more delightful stay.

Affordable accommodation close to the lake. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. The rooms are clean, the food is excellent, and the lake views are wonderful.

We stayed at the Lake View Cottage, and the location was the best part of our visit. The cottage is situated right by Vembanad Lake, providing stunning views and a calm, relaxing environment. The property is well kept, the rooms were tidy and cozy, and the staff were polite and accommodating throughout our stay. The main letdown was the food. The breakfast was of low quality, and the breakfast chef definitely needs to improve. Since there were very few guests, the complimentary breakfast had very limited choices, while a separate buffet with more options was offered at an extra cost. This was confusing because most hotels include the full breakfast buffet with the room package. Overall, it's a great property for its location, scenery, and tranquil atmosphere. If the food quality and breakfast service get better, it would easily merit 5 stars.

The employees were kind and prompt. The accommodations were superb and fully furnished with quality amenities. The atmosphere was remarkable, featuring a stunning view of the lake. It's impressive that a government-run establishment offers such an outstanding venue.
