Johnson's Homestay - Ecohouseboat

I really enjoyed my stay at Johnson’s Homestay. The owner was very friendly and took care of all the arrangements to ensure a pleasant experience. The room was clean and comfortable.

Pleasant experience

The rooms were acceptable and the location was convenient. However, our experience at Mr. Johnson's place was marred by a dispute with the host, Mr. Johnson, who argued with my 67-year-old father. This conflict affected our enjoyment of the stay. Since we were attending a wedding in Alleppey, my father requested a late checkout at 2 pm instead of 10 am. Instead of politely declining, Mr. Johnson argued with him. Additionally, the room lacked a kettle and coffee packets, and when my father inquired about them, the host appeared annoyed. Later, when we returned from the wedding to collect our things, we asked for a room to change clothes, but Mr. Johnson directed us to the servant quarters, which was upsetting. Due to the host's behavior, we would not recommend staying here. Reviewing the owner's responses and other negative reviews will give you an idea of the host's attitude, helping you decide whether to book.

Our stay at this charming homestay in Alappuzha was delightful. The environment is serene and tranquil, ideal for a peaceful retreat away from the busy city life. The accommodations were spotless, cozy, and well kept. The owner was very kind, friendly, and supportive, which enhanced our experience. We really valued the warm welcome and attentive service. The breakfast was fantastic—fresh, flavorful, and made with great care. It was definitely a standout part of our visit. In summary, this is a wonderful spot with excellent hospitality, tasty meals, and a calm setting. We would gladly return and strongly suggest it to anyone traveling to Alappuzha! ❤️
