Riverbench Homestay Munnar, Anaviratty

We stayed at Riverbench Home Stay while heading to Munnar. The location is truly wonderful, and the sound of the nearby stream is very calming :) Mr. Sabu and madam were very hospitable. Traveling with elderly family members and a child, we found the hosts to be very accommodating and generous with both dinner and breakfast. The food was fantastic. We strongly recommend this home stay! Be sure to visit the stream, which is just a short walk away.

We spent a night at Riverbench Homestay last weekend and truly wished we could have stayed longer! This charming and tranquil homestay is managed by the warm and friendly couple, Sabu & Mini. From the moment we arrived, their hospitality made us feel very welcome and at ease. The rooms are large, cozy, and roomy, but our favorite spot was the lovely balcony. It was ideal for enjoying an evening coffee, stargazing at night, and greeting the sunrise in the morning. It was so peaceful just sitting there and soaking in the surroundings. We brought our dog along, and he absolutely adored the place! The property is very pet-friendly with ample space for him to roam and explore. He especially liked watching the birds from the balcony. The grounds are surrounded by a beautiful plantation featuring nutmeg, passion fruit, rambutan, pepper, banana, tamarind, guava, and many other plants. A scenic river is also nearby, just a five-minute walk away, perfect for exploring. The traditional Kerala-style breakfast was delicious and a great way to start the day. What stood out most was the genuine warmth and hospitality of Sabu & Mini, making it feel less like a homestay and more like being welcomed into a home. We highly recommend Riverbench Homestay, especially for those traveling with kids or pets who want a peaceful, spacious, and nature-close retreat. Thank you, Sabu & Mini, for such a wonderful stay. We look forward to returning — and next time, definitely for a longer visit!

The food was excellent and the host was extremely friendly.

We had an incredible stay! The property is truly wonderful. Right from our arrival, the hosts were exceptionally friendly and hospitable, making us feel at home. The homemade meals were tasty and genuine. The rooms were immaculate, cozy, and the location was very tranquil. Plus, having the river right across the house was an added bonus. I strongly suggest this homestay to anyone traveling to Munnar!
