When I first think of an eco-resort, I confess that my mind goes to huts, tents, roughing it a little, and doing without some of the comforts we've become accustomed to. So, I arrived here with one set of expectations and left with quite another. What surprised me most was how comfortably sustainability and good hospitality can coexist. We stayed in one of the villas and it was very homely: lovely tiles, generous space, thoughtful textiles’ There was no air-conditioning, but I didn't miss it.It was the small things that stayed with me. A little cube of soap rather than an oversized bottle. Water provided in thermoses and available for refilling rather than a collection of plastic bottles. Cloth napkins at breakfast and beside the kettle in our room. Objects and local crafts tucked away in different parts of the property, cared for and kept clean rather than simply displayed as a forgotten piece of decoration. And perhaps that is what I appreciated most: despite being surrounded by nature, the spaces felt clean, calm and held. I could sit outside in the morning, hear and smell the landscape around me, and still feel comfortable enough to let my guard down. As someone increasingly interested in nervous-system health, slow living and what I think of as "human sustainability", I found myself noticing how restorative that spaciousness felt. The food was fresh, beautifully prepared, and with some of the produce coming from their own sustainable garden.I left happy to have experienced living with less excess, more thoughtfulness and a little more connection to where things come from. For anyone looking for a place to slow down, reconnect with nature without completely stepping outside their comfort zone, eat exceptionally well and experience a more considered way of hospitality, this is somewhere I would happily return to.

We spent the weekend at Satya Anantham resort and had a truly wonderful time. The resort is designed to blend seamlessly with nature, offering stunning views surrounded by hills. The food was delicious, and the staff were very friendly and welcoming. Both vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes were excellent. We enjoyed dinner and breakfast with a variety of choices, and the best part was that the food felt homemade, prepared with love and care. Kudos to the staff for making our stay comfortable, especially since we were traveling with a baby. The rooms were clean, inviting, and featured a theme inspired by ancient living and sustainability. We stayed in the Earthly Cottage, which provided a complete digital detox experience. Located at the foothills of Nandi, the resort is also conveniently close to attractions like Nandi Hills, Isha Foundation, and Lepakshi. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and we look forward to visiting again.
