I really love the place specially staff and services bcoz of that we extend one more day once suggestion hotel should lidz zone for free for who stay in hotel..
On the way to Goa, we took an overnight halt to avoid the stress of driving in the night through the ghats and the forests. We had a very smooth and fuss free check-in. Then one of the staff members escorted us to the the room along with the luggage which was good bevause having driven for 6-7 hours I was too tired to pick up my luggage too. Since the notice said no tipping, we didn't tip, but there were some awkward moments there definitely, as I suspect that despite the ban on tipping, other guests must be tipping. Anyway I didn't. Freshened up, then debated whether to walk down to the nearby Opal or Dehati or go down to the Blue Lotus restaurant in the hotel. The convenience, plus the promise of a nice chilled beer won! We went down and had a good dinner with very attentive service. While the majority of guests were there for the buffet, we asked for a la carte and got it. A sign of being good hosts I felt - many buffet restaurants nudge the guests towards the buffet citing delays in service, wider variety, competitive costs and so on. I remember being pushed to the buffet in Sayaji Indore which was a bit disappointing. Whatever it is, we ordered some nice butter garlic prawns, chicken sukkha and other starters to go with the beer which was nicely chilled and went down very well. Then for the main course we had the Kolhapur specials namely Tambda Rassa Pandhra Rassa, mutton Kolhapuri, Stir fried vegetables and Bhakri. The mutton Kolhapuri was so so - tasted like boiled mutton slapped onto a bowl of kolhapuri Masala which was hot and fiery but definitely not what I was used to or expecting. Could do much better for a regional cuisine. The rassas were good.Next day we checked out - again, smooth and no fuss checkout. We had a good breakfast. Variety is good. Service was slow especially at 9:45 am which must have been peak. Didn't get my eggs because I suspect that the egg counter fellow had a long backlog. Variety and spread was very good and fresh and tasty. Live counters could improve - the Dosa I got was soggy when I had expected it to be crisp. The potato filling was paltry. But other items were very nice. Masala chai was too milky for my liking - I prefer mine to be kadak with more tea liquor and less milk. But this was quite milky and not kadak enough for my tastes.Left the hotel happy and satisfied. The door men got my car and loaded it. Again the confusion over tip or no tip. Wife insisted on tipping the chap who carried the luggage and it was comedic to see the same ways and means adopted by the chap to take the Rs 50 surreptitiously avoiding the eagle eyes of the senior doorman. Anyway I find the tipping rules a bit silly - they should ideally keep a collection box and rely on the individual choice to give or not give. Then distribute it fairly to the staff. We were genuinely happy with the attentive service received at dinner but the boys refused any tipping. Something to be fixed to avoid embarrassing moments all around.Very nice stay. Will stay again. Wishing them very well.
It is beautiful place to visit with family and friends I love staying in fact we extend one more love the place specially staff r really good and helpful 😃
