I reserved Skylon Hotel via Goibibo after seeing the photos and reviews online, but my stay did not match the expectations set by those. The building is old, not well kept, and quite dirty. The surroundings do not justify the high cost we paid. The room upkeep and cleanliness were also disappointing. The location is another issue; the hotel is far from most places with very few shops, restaurants, or waiting areas close by. Guests have limited dining choices and often must order food from the hotel or delivery apps, which adds to the expense. The only good point is its proximity to the AFSB centre, which is convenient for defense aspirants. Due to unavoidable reasons, we had to leave much earlier than planned. We did not ask for a full refund, just some consideration for the unused nights. However, the hotel staff kept telling us to contact Goibibo, saying they could not help. When Goibibo reached out to the hotel about our request, the hotel refused any refund. We asked the staff to explain our situation if Goibibo called, but it seemed no effort was made to assist us. I know hotels have cancellation policies, but I expected some empathy and help in special cases, which was missing. Overall, given the price, property condition, customer service, and lack of support, I would not recommend this hotel. I suggest looking for better options nearby.
