Was in room 408Positives:Great location in Navrangpura area within walking distance of SP Stadium metro station. Lots of eateries nearby, also coffee places within a 1.5 kms radius.They allowed me to check-in 1 hour earlier. Reasonably big room with good natural light, a writing table and chair in the room + another chair and foot table too. A mini fridge also available. Room is quite clean and inviting. 4 mineral water bottles provided every day. Good amount of storage space in the roomAreas of improvement and shortcomings:Standard Check-in time of 2 pm is quite late. Lift lighting is dim and you cant see the buttons properly. The lady receptionist is quite soft spoken and you cant understand what she is saying.The room door should have an additional latch inside.The toilet pot has water gathered around it. There must be a leakage. Toilet paper is of very poor quality. The shower glass enclosure is full of gaps and water leaks outside on the floor. Toilet flush is too powerful and wastes a lot of water. they should adopt eco friendly measures and have a half-flush option too. The shower pressure is not great and neither is the water too hot.The fridge in the room makes noises every hour or so and can be disturbing; or perhaps they are noises from the adjacent room, couldn’t make out.The room TV is a bit small given the size of the roomThe temperature control on the AC doesn’t seem to be working. It is fairly ineffective during the day, not sure why.The mattress is a big disappointment, it is soft and VERY BAD for the back/spine.The wifi password suddenly stopped working on the day prior to checkout, it had expired. This was never told to me at check-in or later.ObservationsNot much of a view in this room. Adjoining building residents can perhaps peer into your room.
Special mention goes to ***, *** and *** for their exceptional service. The property is close to SP Stadium Metro, from where you can move across the length and breadth of the city. Corriendar restaurant offers exceptional service. Loved the food there. Enjoyed my stay during the T20 World Cup 2026 finals.
Very disappointing experience at Cosmopolitian Hotel. The service at the front desk was extremely unprofessional. Mr. Watson, who was handling the desk, clearly does not know how to speak to or deal with guests properly. Despite the payment already being completed, he started calling guests again asking for payment, which was both confusing and frustrating.This kind of behavior makes guests feel like they are being doubted or even cheated. It was a very unpleasant experience and not something you expect from a hotel that claims to provide good service. The management seriously needs to train their front desk staff on basic guest handling and communication.Would not recommend based on this experience.
