Our anniversary staycation at Taj Madikeri was truly unforgettable ’’’From the warm welcome to the impeccable hospitality, every moment felt thoughtfully curated. A heartfelt thank you to Aman and Sonu for the beautiful anniversary arrangements ’ the surprises were elegant, meaningful, and made our celebration even more special.The property itself is stunning ’ surrounded by lush greenery and serene views, offering the perfect blend of luxury and tranquility. It was the ideal place for us to celebrate not just our anniversary, but precious family time together.The culinary experience deserves a special mention. The flavors were extraordinary and the taste was absolutely top notch. Chef Kingsley did a phenomenal job ’ every dish was crafted with perfection and passion. Our kids loved the food so much that they insisted on meeting the chef personally, which truly speaks volumes! ’’Thank you, Taj Madikeri, for creating such beautiful memories for our family. We will cherish this celebration forever. ’’’

We are currently staying at Taj Madikeri and unfortunately, this has been one of the most disappointing Taj experiences we’ve had.The biggest issue is transportation within the property. Since the resort is built on a steep hill, walking around is not practical or comfortable. You are fully dependent on the resort vehicles to get anywhere. However, we were informed that there are only 6 cars servicing 60+ rooms, which results in extremely long wait times every single time you request a pickup. It becomes frustrating very quickly, especially when you’re simply trying to go for a meal or activity.Speaking of activities ’ there is very little to do here. The amenities are quite basic and nothing beyond what you would expect at any standard resort. There’s no evening high tea offering, which is surprising for a Taj property. The breakfast buffet is also quite limited, both in spread and variety.The only standout feature of this property is the stunning view from the lobby ’ it’s genuinely beautiful and probably the highlight of the stay.We’ve stayed at many Taj properties in the past, and this one has honestly been one of the most underwhelming and boring experiences so far. Definitely not what we expected from the Taj brand.

We just got back from the most beautiful few days at Taj Madikeri, and I honestly cannot recommend it enough. The views are absolutely breathtaking ’ the kind that make you slow down without even trying. Every corner feels intentional and serene.What really stood out for us, though, was the team. We travelled with our 12-year-old pug, and they were the most welcoming and thoughtful hosts throughout. They made the entire experience feel seamless and stress-free, which means everything when you’re travelling with an older pet. It never once felt like an inconvenience ’ only warmth and care. Freshly filled water bowls and clean mats for him every day.The rooms are stunning, spacious, and deeply calming. The food was excellent across every meal, and the service consistently warm and intuitive. The guided hike was another highlight ’ beautifully organised and led by a knowledgeable naturalist who made the forest come alive in such a special way.All in all, a 10/10 experience. If you’re looking for a place to truly pause, breathe, and be taken care of, this is it.

Amazing resort!! Taj has a different class altogether. Amazing hospitality and service. Premise is amazing. There are lot of indoor and outdoor activities, temperate controlled swimming pool, farm. Food is top notch. Only down side we found is check in was slightly delayed than expected and there were few bugs in the room as it was in dense woods. Otherwise We are highly impressed and would definitely recommend it to everyone.

I started hating TAJ now, just because of Taj Madikeri.To be very honest, this place is not truly worth the experience. The overall service standards especially in the restaurant and housekeeping is of 1 star property level. Even they would treat their guest better I guess.TAJ even did some cringe stuff which was scary too. They asked the event during check in and they decorated our room in weird OYO setup in our absence after we checked in, where all our valuables were lying like that.The professionalism, hospitality and attention to detail is what we expect at TAJ properties was completely missing here.In our two days stay, I waited 2 hours for the baggiI am giving 1 extra star only because of the pottery guy.Because of this, I wouldn’t particularly recommend it for couples planning a any special occasion or a peaceful getaway. Even the food quality did not meet expectations this time.Instead, you may consider The Marriott Coorg, which currently offers a far superior experience in terms of hospitality, ambiance, and overall quality. In comparison, Taj Madikeri Resort & Spa truly a shame on the name of TAJ. Never felt so bad at any TAJ properties.
