The Ashoka Hotel, Vijay Nagar

During my stay, I found the fourth-floor counter staff to be well-managed and professional. Ms. Kriti Shukla was disciplined, courteous, and handled guest interactions efficiently there were several areas that could benefit from improvement. The service provided by Chanchal in the dining area appeared unprofessional at times and did not meet the level of hospitality I expected. The breakfast hall was also quite uncomfortable due to the lack of functioning air conditioning or fans, which negatively affected the dining experience. Additionally the food quality was average and did not stand out in any way.Now coming to the most important and frustrating incident, which occurred shortly after our check-in. My family and I had just returned from Omkareshvar ji and had been traveling continuously for the previous three days. We were extremely tired. At the reception, I specifically requested assistance with our luggage and also asked if there were any pending formalities. The reception staff informed me that everything was complete and there was nothing else required from our side.within 5’10 minutes of entering our room and trying to settle down I received a call asking me to clear the pending payment. This was disappointing. If the payment was due it should have been requested during check-in itself. At the very least the staff could have allowed us some time to settle in before calling. I conveyed the same concern to them.but that boy was like (Madam payment toh aate hi clear krni hoti hai ) i was about to answer him ki Sir Taj me bhi ye nahi protocol .I understand that reception staff may be under pressure to collect pending dues but if that was the case the process should have been completed while I was at the reception especially when I was already filling out a form that contained information that had previously been shared via WhatsApp and during the booking process.This incident significantly affected my overall impression of the hotel. I had expected a much better experience based on the reputation of The Ashoka, but unfortunately it did not live up to my expectations.On a positive note, the gentleman who served us during dinner Deepak was excellent. He was professional polite and provided very good service.Overall, my experience felt more like that of an average 2-star property rather than a hotel with such a strong reputation. I am sharing this detailed feedback because I genuinely believed The Ashoka would offer a memorable and high-quality stay. Unfortunately, it turned out to be a case of a big name but an underwhelming experience.(Bada Naam Fika Pakvan).

Excellent stay we had. I stayed here for 6 days and nights with my family.Very courteous staff. Nice hotel very clean with car parking facility. Guard Mr Mahavir is very helpful. Manager Vivek singh is also very friendly and courteous.Overall a nice hotel to stay

The Ashoka hotel is beautifully maintained with a peaceful, elegant atmosphere. The rooms are spotless, well-organized, and equipped with all essential amenities.Great location and easy access to nearby attractions. The front desk staff was courteous and check-in was smooth.The bedrooms were clean,, and very well-kept, but small rooms. I also really enjoyed the food which is buffet breakfast ’ it was fresh, delicious, and had a good variety to choose from.Overall, it's a peaceful and comfortable place to stay in the heart of the city. Parking is also available

The breakfast was good with nice variety and taste. The arrangement and service were well managed. Overall, a satisfying experience.

Budget hotel so don't expect much.. location is really good and that's the reason it's mostly occupied. Service is okay, food is good. Another good part that they allow pet with some charges so if u have one u can bring along..
