The Sunder Palace - A Luxury Boutique Hotel

One of the worst hotel stays I have ever had. Unaccommodating. One word to describe this hole of a hotel. Right from the manager, restaurant staff and almost all of them had a indifferent attitude towards guests. Rooms had piles of dirt under the beds. No cleaning ritual. We were given dingy rooms on ground floor even though there were other rooms of same category available on higher floors. Electric wires were hanging loose. Commode had flushing issues. Sand coming out from tile cracks. No windows. You name it and the hotel has it. Full of flaws. Very poor selection of breakfast which according to them is such as its "complimentary". Although a'la carte dishes looked good. To top it all the hotel staff had poor attitude towards guest satisfaction. There were many instances of altercation with them. Take the 4.6 rating of this hotel on tripadvisor with a lot of salt. All fake reviews with reviewers having just 1 contribution in tripadvisor. Just 2 things good about it is powerful shower and a very good location. That's all.

Overall good , although it is new but rooms need maintenance. Cleanliness could have been better. The restaurant is outsourced or maybe run by owner's friend. I booked room with breakfast but I felt serving me breakfast in the morning was like a burden to them. This would not have been the case if I was an outside guest and paid in cash.

This hotel made our experience truly exceptional due to their post check-out service and hospitality. Special thanks to Mohan and the manager, Rajesh Gupta. We had misplaced a bag of our belongings which was found several days after we checked out. They went above and beyond, and made sure to courier the bag to us. We also accidentally left our IDs and they went out of their way to have them sent to our other hotel. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Walking distance to several bars and restaurants. Great hotel overall! Thank you so much.

We checked in very late without a reservation but this all went well and we got a nice room. Very large with a great bed (best mattress of our stay in India). Rooms were very new and has everything you need (desk, big closet, good AC, safe, big TV etc.), and was quiet. The adjacent cafe/bar (Silly Rabbit) offers a nice variety of food with plenty of non-Indian options which can be nice for a change. Coffee is great. Water pressure is very low which makes it almost impossible to get a good shower.Location is o.k. walking distance from the metro station, but otherwise reliable on tuktuks (~10min drive to city centre).

Great first experience! Room was clean and organized and AC was perfect. Loved the suite set up. They helped us arrange a car and experience the town and he was very informative as well for sight seeing and good foods finds! Can’t wait to come visit again.
