I am writing to formally complain about a very disappointing stay at your Jaipur hotel. As a regular and loyal guest who has had great experiences at The Fern Kadamba in Goa and your locations in Udaipur and Mumbai, I was shocked by the poor hospitality and service I encountered in Jaipur. My complaint concerns two main problems during my visit: 1. Unacceptable room conditions and dishonesty. The electricity in my room went out at night. After calling reception with no help, I had to go down myself to report it. A technician came and fixed the light temporarily, but it went out again soon after. When I checked again, staff falsely told me it was a hotel-wide power outage, even though other rooms had lights on. Instead of offering to move me to a working room, they lied, so I had to spend the whole night in darkness. 2. Terrible checkout experience and no effort to make up for the poor service. The next morning, I told staff how upset I was about the night. They were "speechless" and did not apologize, explain, or try to fix the situation. Also, the checkout was very unprofessional. I gave my key to the receptionist, who kept working and left me waiting without telling me when checkout was done or that I could leave until I asked. This service is unacceptable and far below what I expect from The Fern. The dishonesty about the power outage and the front desk's indifference made me feel completely unappreciated as a guest.

The rooms are clean and neat, but the service is quite poor. Expect to wait 1 to 1.5 hours just to get water delivered to your room. Both room service and the in-room dining are equally disappointing. They will bring your food but forget the cutlery, so you'll need to call them multiple times to get utensils.

Had a terrible time at this hotel. A man called Shyam at the front desk was extremely impolite to us and even threatened us. I would advise against staying here.

Avoid their manager Shyam, who behaves unprofessionally and has threatened nearly every guest. You will definitely regret choosing this hotel. They also have a policy of denying check-in. It's better to spend your money at a better hotel. Their pool is filled with pigeons and the AC is very noisy.
