We stayed at Sarovar Portico on MI Road for three nights. Since we had booked the previous night as well, we were able to check in early at around 3:00 AM after our long drive. The front desk staff welcomed us warmly, and the check-in process was smooth. Our room on the sixth floor was very clean, well-maintained, and nicely chilled when we arrived, which made it comfortable after a long journey.The breakfast at Flavours restaurant was good. While the spread wasn’t very large or extravagant, it had all the essentials including a live omelette counter, South Indian dishes, parathas, fruits, coffee, and other breakfast items. A special mention to Saurabh from the restaurant team, who was extremely courteous and attentive. Even though breakfast is self-service, he made sure we had everything we needed at our table.The housekeeping team also deserves special appreciation, especially Rahul and Kamlesh. They were always prompt, polite, and professional. Whenever we called for fresh towels, room cleaning, or any assistance, they responded quickly and ensured everything was taken care of. Their service genuinely added to the comfort of our stay.The only downside was the air conditioning. On the first day, the room was comfortably cool, but afterwards the AC struggled to maintain the temperature. Even after setting it to 19.5°C, the room stayed around 22–23.5°C. I contacted the reception multiple times, and an AC engineer did visit, but the issue wasn’t fully resolved. The temperature improved slightly but never became as comfortable as it was on the first day. For a hotel of this standard, I expected the AC to cool the room more effectively, especially considering the room size.Parking was spacious and convenient, which was a big plus since we were travelling by car.Overall, we had a good stay. The excellent staff, cleanliness, and service made the experience enjoyable. Special thanks to Saurabh, Rahul, and Kamlesh for their hospitality and dedication. If the hotel resolves the air-conditioning issue, it would make the stay even better. I would happily consider staying here again.
Lock of room main door was not working, nobody bothered to sort it.Breakfast was below average, the serving staff was busy in gossiping.Plates were placed just adjacent to nonveg, very bad feeling for vegetarians.
