Hotel Kanchandeep

I chose this hotel after checking its ratings on Agoda, but unfortunately, the actual experience was completely different from what I expected. The ratings did not reflect my experience at all.1. Cleanliness:The rooms were dirty when we arrived for check-in. The almirah was even worse—you could easily see dust just by running your finger over it. The windows were extremely dirty and were not cleaned even after we complained. As for the “view,” there was garbage all over the area outside the window. The floor in front of the rooms was also very dirty. I have attached pictures for reference.2. Broken doors and locks:The knobs/locks of both the main door and bathroom door were broken. We had to struggle just to lock the main door, and the bathroom door could not be locked at all, no matter how much we tried.3. Basic room service:I asked for a jug and glasses for drinking water. I was told that they only provide water in bottles, and they provided only one glass for the entire room. Later, when I asked the receptionist for water, I was told that the room service staff was away and that if it was urgent, I should come downstairs and collect it from the counter.4. Receptionist behaviour:The receptionist was extremely rude and did not know how to speak to or deal with customers professionally. The way he responded to our requests was very disappointing.5. No working kitchen:One of the biggest problems was that the hotel's kitchen was not operational. This was not clearly mentioned anywhere before booking. We had a lot of difficulty getting food and even tea. When I asked the receptionist about it, he simply said that they did not have enough staff, so the kitchen was closed, and told us to order food through Zomato or Swiggy.6. Room type was not provided as booked:I specifically booked a Deluxe Room with two separate beds, but we were given a room with a single double bed. When I raised the issue, I was told that no twin-bed room was available at that time. However, the hotel had confirmed through messages that all the requested conditions would be fulfilled.Overall, this was a very disappointing and frustrating experience. Basic cleanliness, maintenance, customer service, and the facilities mentioned during booking were not up to the expected standard.My advice to other travellers is to carefully check the recent reviews and confirm the available facilities directly with the hotel before booking. For me, this was a terrible decision and a very unpleasant stay

No tea or coffee available. ब्रेकफास्ट होटल में उपलब्ध नहीं है। बाथरूम में गर्म पानी नहीं आ रहा है। बचें।

Hotel close to the railway station and bus stand. All staff cooperative. All services are good and the rooms are spacious and nice.

Much better in this price everything is very good staff behaviour is to polite
