The Victoria

This was my first stay at Victoria Hotel, Raebareli, and sadly, it was very disappointing. The property is decent and the rooms are okay, and the location is the only reason I am giving 2 stars. However, the overall experience was poor, mainly due to the staff and how they treated guests. The biggest problem was the pricing and lack of transparency from the staff. I ordered a cup of tea and was charged ₹50, even though the tea was actually brought in from outside. Charging such high prices for outside items without informing guests is unacceptable. A hotel can charge for services, but honesty and clear pricing are essential. The staff's handling of this made me feel guests are overcharged just because they are staying there. The staff's behavior and service quality were very disappointing and not what I expect from a decent hotel. Good rooms and a nice property don't matter much if the guest experience and staff attitude are this bad. My rating is 2/5, only for the location and property. Management really needs to address staff behavior, service standards, and how outside items are charged. Based on my experience, I wouldn't recommend this hotel unless these problems are fixed.

I had a wonderful experience at The Victoria Hotel. The hotel is beautiful, clean, and very comfortable. The ambience is excellent, the rooms are well-maintained, and the staff is friendly and helpful. The hospitality and overall service were truly impressive.A great place to stay and definitely worth recommending. Highly recommended! ❤️

Our stay was very disappointing. The elevator was out of order, which was a big hassle, especially with luggage. The room keys didn’t work well, causing frustration and forcing our guests to change rooms at midnight. We reserved their hall for an event and were charged extra for decoration without prior notice. They also assured us parking would be provided, but there was none. Additionally, the service was terrible with slow staff responses and poor management overall. Considering the cost, I expected better basic amenities and customer service. I would not recommend this hotel and will choose a different one next time.

This was easily one of the worst hotel stays we've experienced. Even though we reserved a suite and a standard room a month ahead, the service was terrible. The elevator was broken for all four days of our stay on the second floor. On top of that, the keycard sensors in both rooms stopped working, making our guests move to a standard room late at night, which was very embarrassing when hosting family. We also rented their hall but were hit with unexpected extra fees for decorations that were never disclosed. Additionally, although they provided a DJ setup, no staff was available to operate it, so our family had to handle the speakers themselves. The service was completely unacceptable. WILL NEVER RECOMMEND!!
