This hotel experience ranks among the worst we've ever had. From the moment we arrived last night, it was obvious the property is not suitable for guests. Basic facilities in our room were non-functional: the toilet flush lacked water, the hand shower had no water supply, making bathroom use uncomfortable, unhygienic, and unacceptable. The bathroom situation is worse, with taps and shower delivering only dangerously hot water, making bathing and hygiene impossible. A hotel unable to provide working toilets and usable water should not host guests. We reported these problems right after check-in, hoping for some responsibility from staff or management. Yet after over 15 hours, nothing has been fixed—no maintenance, no room change, no temporary fix, no proper communication, and no urgency. Staff offer excuses while guests suffer. Even more alarming, other guests face the same issues, showing management knows about these problems but still accepts guests without resolving them. This is not just poor service but a total failure in hospitality, maintenance, and guest care. Guests pay for comfort, cleanliness, and basic amenities, not stress, frustration, and unhygienic conditions. I strongly advise anyone thinking about this hotel to avoid wasting money, time, or peace of mind here. There are much better options that respect their guests. This hotel must fix its infrastructure and management before taking more bookings.

Our experience at this hotel was extremely disappointing and unacceptable. We checked in last night, and right away, the basic amenities in our room were not working. The toilet flush was broken, the hand shower had no water, making using the toilet very inconvenient and unhygienic. The bathroom water situation was also awful, with only scalding hot water coming from the shower and taps, making it unsafe and uncomfortable to bathe or even wash hands. We reported these problems immediately after check-in, expecting quick fixes, but after more than 15 hours, nothing was done—no repairs, no room change, no explanation, and no concern from management. Worse, many other guests in different rooms had the same issues, showing this is a widespread maintenance and management failure. Paying guests shouldn't have to struggle for basic needs like working toilets and usable water. The lack of response, poor service, and disregard for guest comfort is unacceptable. I strongly recommend future travelers avoid this hotel unless they want to face broken facilities, poor upkeep, and unresponsive management. It is definitely not worth the cost or the hassle.

Spent a day at Gavi Suites while visiting Gavi. The hotel is conveniently close to Vandiperiyar bus station. We reserved a suite that was well-maintained, tidy, and roomy. It featured a living room with a sofa bed, a separate bedroom, and a balcony. Suitable for four guests and affordable. There are restaurants nearby within walking distance. The owner and staff were very accommodating and helpful. A great choice if you want to stay near Vandiperiyar.

Terrible service. Even after confirming the booking, they said there was no room available... a very disappointing hotel in the Thekkady tourist area.
