Sterling Thekkady

Ah! I love this wooden place! It gives such a natural and positive feeling. There are so many friendly monkeys too. The swimming pool is clean and clear. The rooms are comforting and the food...delicious!!! We can order tea & snacks at the poolside. The place was brilliant in every way!!! My daughter still remembers the beautiful place.

Good experience overall. High value. Recommended.Pluses: Unique wooden decor, gives a quaint feel-good ambience. Very good service and highly courteous, helpful ever-smiling staff. Food was more than good. Organises dome good trips.Minuses: small property, amenities are limited, does not give a resort like feel (but then the room tariffs are also quite reasonable and not charging as per resort ). Bathroom fittings are average.Overall: Highly recommend.

Decent place, not excellent. Food was good. Pool was okay. They had a small DJ arrangement during the night we stayed - kids will enjoy. Rooms were good and clean. They make arrangements for your tours (almost all resorts do it) and get you the tickets (ticket charges are extra). Overall a decent resort. Its a nice location, with woods near by, and i felt that they could have maintained the place a little more well.

Nice Hotel with Good Natural Environment and Excellent place for KidsAs the name suggests the complete resort is made of Wooden Rooms and has plantation of various trees,plants, herbs and fruits etc. around.I've been to this place in Mid February and whether at night and morning was pleasant while the afternoons were HOT. The hotel is completely covered with trees and has nice and clean pool and other facilities related to swimming.We are vegetarians and had opted for Veg food and its was OK. So the thing about Kerala is that anywhere you go you wont get good North Indian or any other food better than the local food. Tradition food here was good.The hotel is at the end of the road and quite far away from the market and bit secluded. You definitely need a vehicle with you.The hotel also offers Bicycle at the rate of Rs. 60 for half an hour.The rooms are pretty small not that big, also the resort is not being renovated from a long time. The bathroom was literally smelling very bad, it was difficult to stay for more than few minutes. To had to the fun we found LIZARD in our room, which ran away in the cracks/gaps of the ceiling when someone from hotel who came after 10 minutes.

we visited Sterling resorts at Thekkady last week. We had a wonderful stay at the resort. The facilities are top class- the rooms are spacious and well maintained. They would be cleaned well every day meticulously. The small pool with the pool side tables is a good place to relax. The restaurant offers a good menu with a variety of dishes in Indian, Chinese and continental cuisine. The best part of this resort are the staff- Always smiling, courteous, helpful and friendly. They are ever ready to help the guests. The Restaurant manager even packed lunch for our travel with use and throw plates, spoons and napkins! Thanks a lot!Only suggestion is the rooms need more ventilation. They may be quite cozy when the weather is pleasant, but could be stuffy when hot. The travel desk is also helpful giving information, arranging for local travel and any other assistance. Great work, Sterling at Thekkady! Thanks for making our holiday a memorable one! We definitely would like to visit again! Giving 4 stars only because there is always scope to raise the bar higher!
