Viceroy Beach & Spa Resort

I recently had a wonderful experience during my stay, and I must appreciate the exceptional hospitality of the entire team. From the moment we arrived, we were given a warm welcome. My sister-in-law was feeling very unwell, and the manager at the reception, Mr. Abhishek, immediately took the initiative to arrange for a doctor and even provided her with coconut water and saline water to help her recover. His concern and prompt action truly touched us.At the restaurant, Ms. Meghla went out of her way to offer my sister-in-law her personal hot bag to ease her discomfort ’ such kindness is rare to find. The restaurant manager Mr. Surajit also guided us with excellent food suggestions, recommending dishes we would enjoy while being mindful of what to avoid.Overall, the staff’s humble and respectful behavior made our experience memorable. Their care and attention turned a difficult situation into a comforting and pleasant stay.Ohh to add, food was brilliant.

I just checked out now from Room 318 & 319. Both rooms are infected with Bed Bugs and my family has body full of bug bites. When informed about it to reception then a wisdom full of receptionist told us ’nobody has ever complained’ which translates to we are lying !Anyways, room is spacious, food is good. Just the receptionist who has potential to eventually take this hotel down with his bossy attitude !

While a lot of people are obsessed with sea view resorts in Mandarmani, but my vote goes to Viceroy without a second thought.Property: This experience stands out because of how clean and well maintained the property is.Staff: Special mention to the staffs. They deserve 10/10 for their outstanding service. Wish the other hotels around Mandarmani were 1% of this.Food: The in house restaurant here is beautiful and serves delicious food. All the dishes we ordered were just ’’Overall, I am highly satisfied with the overall experience that i have got here.Note: I booked Royal with private balcony room & noticed some stains in the pillow covers. But I don’t blame the property for this. It’s definitely our responsibility to keep the property clean when we are using it.Just leaving negative reviews will not make the property clean!Overall, A Very Happy Customer and looking forward to visiting the Viceroy property in Darjeeling.Thank you :)

The staff was polite and helpful, which I appreciate. However, the overall experience was disappointing. The hotel lacks basic facilities — room accessories were missing, and most of the equipment was outdated and worn out. For the high price, I expected much better standards. Not worth the value.

The resort has definitely seen better times. The room was big but the furniture looked a bit dated. The lack of a mini fridge was a real disappointment. The bathroom was clean. The common areas lacked cleanliness.The pool is very good, and the poolside restaurant serves drinks, cocktails, and food (not sure if it's a good idea to serve food at the pool). However, we saw people smoking in the pool, even with a no smoking sign clearly visible. There is no oversight of management on this.Food is good, and room service is prompt. We tried both Chinese and Indian options, and everything we tried was tasty.Location is good...it's just 50 to 100 m away from the beach, but the approach road to the hotel can get messy during rains.Overall, it was a decent experience.
