Railways restores and extends 40+ trains on important routes

To provide a comfortable and convenient travel experience to passengers, the national transporter has decided to restore and extend many train services.

Today, we bring you some important updates regarding the latest train services so that you can easily plan your journey and don’t face any difficulty.

> Train no. 02959 Vadodara – Jamnagar Superfast Intercity Special will resume from 20th September whereas train no. 02960 Jamnagar – Vadodara Superfast Special will restart from 21st September. Bookings will open from 17th September. You can book your tickets from the ixigo trains app and avail great deals.

> The South Eastern Railway has decided to extend services of train no.s 08637/08636 Hatia – Bangalore Cant. – Hatia Weekly Special trains passing via Katpadi and Jolarpettai. The service of train no. 08637 will be extended to run from 2nd October to 25th December. The service of train no. 08636 will be extended to run from 5th October to 25th December.


> The
East Central Railway has resumed the operation of four pairs of passenger special trains from 16th September  till further notice.

These trains include:

  • Train no.s 05259/05260 Muzaffarpur – Narkatiaganj – Muzaffarpur
  • Train no.s 05261/05262 Raxaul – Muzaffarpur – Raxaul
  • Train no.s 03601/03602 and 03327/03328 Sindri Town – Dhanbad – Sindri Town
  • Train no.s 03645/03646 Dildarnagar – Tarighat

> For the convenience of passengers, the North Western Railway has extended the operation period of 17 pairs of holiday special train services.

> Keeping in mind the demand of train travellers, the Western Railway has decided to resume 09012/09211 Ahmedabad – Mumbai Central Gujarat Express and 09136/09135 Ahmedabad – Valsad Gujarat Queen Special trains. Both the trains will be fully reserved and can be booked on the ixigo trains app.
