For the convenience of railway passengers as well as to meet the growing demand, Southern Railways has decided to operate several trains on various routes across the country.
Here are all the details along with their official announcements —
1> MGR Chennai Central – Sathya Sai Prashanti Nilayam weekly special will start operations from 9th April. This superfast train will leave Chennai Central every Friday at 23:30 hours and will reach SAI P Nilayam at 9:00 hours the next day. Booking for which have opened from yesterday.

2> Train no. 02666 Kanyakumari – Howrah weekly superfast special will leave Kanyakumari on Saturdays at 05:30 hours and will reach Howrah at 23:55 hours the next day. The services of this train will start on and from 3rd April 2021.
The train will have additional stoppages at Srirangam and Ariyalur.

3> Special train between Trivandrum – Dr MGR Chennai Central will start services from 3rd April. Bookings are open from today.

4> Train number 06628 Mangalore Central – MGR Chennai Central Daily Superfast Special will leave Mangalore Central at 23:45 hours and reach Dr. MGR Chennai Central at 15:50 hours the next day. The train services will start on and from 8th April, 2021.
