Here are some of the major updates that you must know:


> As the government reduces the curfew hours from 2 pm to 6 pm in Andhra Pradesh for public and vehicular movements, APSRTC will operate more buses from today. Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (APSRTC) buses will cover Vijayawada, Anantapur, Kuppam, Nellore, Kadapa, Rayachoti, Pileru, Madanapalle, Satyavedu, Punganur, Chittoor, Puttur, and Srikalahasti, etc.

> Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister and Transport Minister Laxman Savadi announced that there would be no hike in fares for Bangalore Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC) buses.

Along with that, the bus services across Karnataka, stopped since April 27, would resume in a phased manner adhering to all safety precautions against COVID-19 once the lockdown is eased.

The Brihanmumbai Electric Supply and Transport (BEST) has resumed its local bus service since Monday. Wearing a mask is compulsory on the bus and the number of passengers will not be more than the number of seats. Travellers have been asked to follow all COVID appropriate behaviour.
