Hassle free, staff is friendly
This is the first time I am writing a review for this hotel. My family and I travel to Mysore every three months as devotees of Datta Peetham. We usually stay for 3–4 days and book at least two rooms on every visit.For the past two years, we have been staying at this hotel regularly. We travel from Hyderabad, and our train reaches Mysore around 9:30 AM, so we usually arrive at the hotel by 10:00 AM. Every visit, we have to repeatedly request early check-in and late check-out. Since our program generally ends around 1:00 PM and lunch takes another hour, we request a few extra hours before checking out. After multiple requests, they eventually agree, but the same issue happens on every visit.During our recent stay in May, we booked two rooms for four days and spent around 10,000. Despite being regular customers for two years, we were made to wait nearly an hour at the reception for check-in. The staff kept saying that rooms were full, but it was evident that several rooms were available. It felt as though they intentionally made us wait.What disappointed us the most was the behavior of the manager. Customer service is extremely important in the hospitality industry, and unfortunately, the manager's attitude towards guests was poor and unprofessional. As frequent visitors who bring repeat business to the hotel every three months, we expected better treatment and a little flexibility.We have overlooked issues such as the small room sizes, but the poor customer service and management behavior have left a very negative impression.I would not recommend this hotel, especially to frequent travelers or families expecting courteous and respectful service. If this is how regular customers are treated, others can imagine what their experience might be.
