Loved our stay at this resort in December - (1) Excellent service, the staff is very attentive but not at all intrusive. (2) There are a good set of activities, with the best being the Resort Nature Walk led by Arjun, (3) Amazing food, (4) Clean and spacious rooms, with great view.The approach road is a little difficult for the last 5-7 minutes, but manageable.Only one improvement suggestion for the owner - please enable Credit/Debit card payments at checkout (for dining expenses). It's a pretty basic requirement in today's day and age.

After the Rains is set in a beautiful location, with stunning views of misty mountains and a deep valley from the reception and my room. The resort has preserved the natural terrain, which means there are steep roads both leading into the property and within it, though a van is available to help guests get around.It is a lovely place for birdwatching, with frequent sightings and bird calls. Dinner was the only slight letdown, with some overly greasy and unnecessary North Indian dishes, but this was made up for at breakfast, which featured a delicious local spread. I also appreciated the thoughtful touch of locally grown tea and coffee provided in the room for guests to brew themselves.A serene, well-considered stay with small details that make it special.

We had a lovely stay at After the Rains, Wayanad. We stayed in the Lilikoi rooms, and the view from there was absolutely amazing. The staff were extremely friendly, warm, and always smiling, which made the experience even better. The weather during our stay was perfect.From the room, we could spot numerous birds and even black langurs, which was a delight for nature lovers. The food was freshly prepared using farm-grown produce’local, simple, and very tasty.The property is vast and peaceful; you can easily spend around 1.5 hours walking around and exploring it. There is a gaushala within the property, a waterfall that you can trek to, and a serene lake where fishing is also possible.It’s truly a place away from the bustling city life, perfect for calm, relaxation, and connecting with nature. Definitely recommended for anyone looking for a peaceful getaway. ’’

If you're looking for a property that truly champions living in harmony with nature, this is it.The resort is a serene sanctuary situated right in the midst of a lush green plantation, offering superb and breathtaking views from every corner. Waking up to the misty mornings and witnessing the beautiful sunrise and sunset over the canopy was the highlight of the day.What truly stood out for me was the resort’s thoughtful approach to sustainability, particularly in dining. I greatly appreciated their mindfulness to reduce food waste by not offering a full-fledged, wasteful buffet, unlike many other places. Instead, the meals are prepared fresh and with care. The recipes, featuring locally sourced vegetables, were a true delight. And, of course, the coffee sourced directly from their estate was unique and tasted incredibly good!The plantation walk was refreshing and great experience, providing a deeper connection to the natural environment. Beyond the beautiful setting, the staff made the stay exceptional. They were incredibly welcoming, helpful, and their service truly stood out.Note (Helpful Tip!):The only minor consideration is the final leg of the journey. The last 200’300 meters to the resort is an off-road track and requires careful driving and navigation. If you are driving a low ground clearance car, like a sedan, you'll need to proceed slowly.Also, when navigating, ensure you turn off the 'fuel-efficient route' option in Google Maps settings, as this may direct you onto even less suitable roads.
