Wild Courtyard Vythiri

We had an amazing stay for 2 nights . The view you wake up to every morning is breathtaking, a clear glimpse of the chembra peak is stunning. The homestay is neat and well maintained and the food is commendable. The Owner Mr Wafa was kind enough to take a few of us on a jeep ride to nearby view points as a weekend activity. There are quite a few indoor games for people to feel entertained with.. although the peace and the calm of the mountains will anyway take away most of your time just staring at it. Overall I would love to come back to the place over and over again !!

Wonderful resort in a great location offering very comforting home-style meals

Overall, the experience was not very good. 1. The rooms lack air conditioning and proper ventilation; opening windows isn't feasible due to insects and mosquitoes, making the room quite stuffy, especially at night. 2. The location is inconvenient, situated off the main road without proper sidewalks, and even with a vehicle, it takes about 15 minutes to get in and out. 3. The food was average despite the staff being polite and welcoming; also, although breakfast is advertised as complimentary, eggs were charged separately, which was unusual for me. 4. The biggest letdown was the inflexibility: early check-in required extra payment despite our early arrival due to bus schedule changes, and they refused to extend checkout by even two hours even though no guests were arriving. 5. The property lacked any features that made it feel like a resort. In summary, it did not justify the price, as we've had better stays at less expensive places.

The rooms were tidy, clean, and cozy, with balconies offering breathtaking views—ideal for unwinding and appreciating Wayanad's natural beauty. The food stood out as well, being tasty and freshly made. There were many activities available, especially indoor games, which added to the enjoyment. The Jeep safari to the waterfalls and scenic spots was definitely a highlight, with beautiful sights and tranquil surroundings making the trip unforgettable. Overall, a wonderful spot for a peaceful retreat in Vythiri. Strongly recommended!

I recently visited Wild Courtyard in Vythiri, Wayanad, and it turned out to be one of the most unforgettable travel experiences I've had in a long while. Located at the base of Chembra Peak, this spot is a true treasure for anyone wanting to escape daily life and immerse themselves in nature. The property is stunning, carefully designed, and very well kept. Every part of it shows the dedication and effort put into creating a calm retreat that harmonizes beautifully with its natural environment. What I appreciated most was the complete peace of the place. Nowadays, genuine quiet is hard to find. For the first time in a long time, I was somewhere where the only sounds were from the jungle, birds singing, and nature itself. No honking, no traffic, no engines—just pure calm. The hosts are fantastic and sincerely want to make your stay memorable. One highlight was an evening jeep safari arranged by the owner, who personally guided us to a hidden waterfall and through lovely tea plantations. We then enjoyed one of the most breathtaking sunsets I've ever seen, a view that lingers in your memory long after the trip. The food was especially noteworthy. The dishes were simple, authentic, and very comforting. Honestly, it was some of the best comfort food I've had at any hotel or homestay. Each meal felt homemade and lovingly prepared. Another enjoyable aspect was meeting their two pet dogs, Lia and Coco. They are very friendly, playful, and well-behaved. They bring warmth and charm to the place while respecting guests' privacy, never entering private guest areas unless invited. A quick tip about the access road: it can be a bit rough in places. Still, as a relatively new driver, I managed to drive there easily in my car. So, while some caution is needed, it shouldn't stop anyone from visiting. If you want to slow down, enjoy nature, excellent hospitality, great food, and a truly peaceful vibe, Wild Courtyard is an ideal choice. But if your plan is to spend all day out sightseeing and only come back to sleep, you might miss out on what makes this place so special. Wild Courtyard is more than just accommodation; it's an experience. Highly recommended.
